Abstract:The effects of fabrication parameters for dip-coating and co-sintering techniques on the microstructure and electrochemical performance of cathode-supported tubular solid oxide fuel cells were discussed in detail. In comparison with starch as pore former of cathode, graphite is more apt to produce uniform opened-pores. The addition of graphite powder to cathode can not only creates pores but also improves its shrinkage. By choosing 20 wt% graphite powder as pore former and 1260 {degree sign}C as co-sintering temperature, the maximum power density of 0.43 W cm-2 can be reached at 850 {degree sign}C with humidified H2 as fuel and O2 as oxidant.
