Abstract:Hubbard strongly correlated system is carefully discussed physically. Hubbard's and Anderson's solutions for strongly correlated systems are commented on. For such a system, taking off or putting into one particle will severely affect remaining particles, SQ that Koopmans' theorem, as well as the conception of single particle state and one-particle Green function, can not be applied in this system.

Abstract:A reply is made to Comment by <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://D.P.Sheehan" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a> in which he takes notice that the quantum force introduced in my earlier paper <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://A.V.Nikulov" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a>, Phys. Rev. B 64, 012505 (2001) challenges to the absolute status of the second law of thermodynamics. It is shown that the introduction of the quantum force explains only an experimental challenge to the second law. The observation of the persistent current at non-zero resistance R > 0 is experimental evidence of violation of the postulate saving the second law in the beginning of the 20 century. According to this postulate any Brownian motion is absolutely random whereas the persistent current at R > 0 is a regulated Brownian motion.

Abstract:The recent article "Ohm's Law Survives to the Atomic Scale" by Weber et al. [Science 335, 64 (1021)] reveals ohmic transport in quantized P-in-Si wires. We argue that their results have two main deficiencies: (a) the interpretation of conductance data is inadequate for serious systematics; (b) metallic-like structures hold few implications for quantum computing.

Abstract:Local kinetic and chemical equilibration is studied for Au+Au collisions at 10.7 AGeV in the microscopic Ultrarelativistic Quantum Molecular Dynamics model (UrQMD). The UrQMD model exhibits dramatic deviations from equilibrium during the high density phase of the collision. Thermal and chemical equilibration of the hadronic matter seems to be established in the later stages during a quasi-isentropic expansion, observed in the central reaction cell ($S/A=S/A=s/\rho_B ~\cong~$ 12). At latest stages of the reactions (of order of 10 fm/c) the hadron energy spectra in the cell are nicely reproduced by Boltzmann distributions with a common rapidly dropping temperature. Hadron yields change drastically and at the late expansion stage follow closely those of an ideal gas statistical model. The detailed comparison with the UrQMD box calculations for infinite equilibrated matter is done. It also shows that the system in the central zone reaches the equilibrium at late stages of the reaction. The equation of state seems to be simple at late times: $P\cong0.12\epsilon$ which coincides with Shuryak predictions for the resonance gas. The contribution of the strange particles into the total energy density of the system in the central region of the reaction seems to be of order of 1-3 % (strange particle density in the central zone is negligibly small e.g. $\rho_S=0.008$). The time evolution of other thermodynamical variables in the cell is also presented.

Abstract:We study the quantum state transfer (QST) in a class of qubit network with on-site interaction, which is described by the generalized Hubbard model with engineered couplings. It is proved that the system of two electrons with opposite spins in this quantum network of $N$ sites can be rigorously reduced into $N$ one dimensional engineered single Bloch electron models with central potential barrier. With this observation we find that such system can perform a perfect QST, the quantum swapping between two distant electrons with opposite spins. Numerical results show such QST and the resonant-tunnelling for the optimal on-site interaction strengths.

Abstract:We have measured the proton recoil polarization in the ^4He(\vec e,e'\vec p)^3H reaction at Q^2 = 0.5, 1.0, 1.6, and 2.6 (GeV/c)^2. The measured ratio of polarization transfer coefficients differs from a fully relativistic calculation, favoring the inclusion of a predicted medium modification of the proton form factors based on a quark-meson coupling model. In contrast, the measured induced polarizations agree reasonably well with the fully relativistic calculation indicating that the treatment of final-state interactions is under control.

Abstract:In their comment <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="cond-mat/9710285" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/cond-mat/9710285">cond-mat/9710285</a> [Phys. Rev. Lett. 80, 5024 (1998)] den Hartog and van Wees (HW) raise objections against our analysis of the experimental data presented in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="cond-mat/9708162" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/cond-mat/9708162">cond-mat/9708162</a> [Phys. Rev. Lett. 79, 1547 (1997)]. According to HW, we did not account for the quantum phase incoherence introduced by the Niobium compounds of the investigated Nb/Au hybrid samples. Here we show that and why this criticism is not justified. Some difficulties associated with a precise determination of the coherence lengths are discussed. It is discussed why these uncertainties do not have a qualitative impact on the results reported in our paper.
