Abstract:We discuss the elementary errors in D.G. Zhang's [New. J. Phys. 23, 093014 (2021)] claimed exact solution of the quantum Rabi model. The erroneous solution is seen to be nothing more than the combined solution of the simpler Jaynes-Cummings and anti-Jaynes-Cummings models obtained by neglecting terms in the model Hamiltonian.

Abstract:Misinterpretation in the preceding Comment of my recent analysis of the past of a photon is corrected. There is nothing in this analysis which is "contrary to the usual quantum expectations" but, nevertheless, it does provide "further understanding and interpretation of the system considered". In particular, it teaches us that the naive common sense argument frequently used in the literature including the Comment has to be abandoned.

Abstract:On a one-dimensional lattice without uniform interval, the Hermitian conjugation of a q-differential operator is discussed. Then a deformation of quantum mechanics in one dimension is presented. As an application, the harmonic oscillator is discussed. The energy spectrum and the eigenfunctions are shown to depend on an arbitrary deformation function. The deformed coherent states are also discussed. It is found that the completeness relation of coherent states holds for the case of q-coherent states, i.e. the deformation of the Heisenberg-Weyl algebra is a q-analogue Hopf algebra.

Abstract:Recently, a delicately designed Gedankenexperiment was proposed to check the self-consistence of quantum theory in the description of the agents who are using this theory. It was demonstrated that the quantum theory is inconsistent. Here a critical improvement is presented, which can lead to a consistent explanation of the Gedankenexperiment by using quantum theory.

Abstract:Gong points out [quant-ph arXiv:1106.0062] a "direct connection" between our measure [PRL 106, 220401 (2011)] recently proposed to quantify macroscopic quantum superpositions and a previously studied quantity introduced to study classical and quantum chaos. We point out that the two measures are obviously different for some mixed states, and the previous one does not work as a sensible measure to quantify quantum superpositions.

Abstract:To reply to the Comment on our original paper entitled "Arbitrated quantum-signature scheme" [Phys. Rev. A 65, 042312 (2002)], we present more detailed presentations and proofs of the quantum-signature scheme in our paper. We feel our further investigation has shown that the original quantum-signature scheme is secure and operationally well defined.
