Preparation of Polymerized Silicate Composite Flocculant

Abstract:The composite flocculant,polyepoxysuccinic acid-polysilicate ferric zinc(PESA-PSFZ),was synthesized and its stability and flocculating effect were examined.The results show that: Comparing with polyepoxysuccinic acid-polysilicic acid,PESA-PSFZ has a higher Zeta-potential,a better turbidity removal effect,a faster sedimentation velocity and a wider application pH range;When the dosage of PESA-PSFZ is 6 mg/L,the turbidity removal rate of simulated wastewater is 99.2%;When the dosage of PESA-PSFZ is 20 mg/L,the COD removal rate of printing and dyeing wastewater is 87.3%.
