Abstract:The paper mainly researched the related issues about soluting the fouling problem of power plant denitrification systems.Fouling mechanism and the harm of fouling problem in SCR was pointed out;and it comparised all the characteristics of the steam soot-blower and the sonic soot-blower.The advantages of application of sonic soot-blower in SCR were analysised.And concluding the future research direction at last.

Abstract:Hydropower stations play an important role in discharging the flood. Especially in wet seasons, the river water always contains several percentages of sediment, and the velocity of the water flowing through the flood discharging tunnel is very high. Arranging some energy dissipation orifice plates in the flood discharging tunnel, cannot only reduce the pressure and flow velocity, but also deposit sediment and reduce the sediment content. However, fouling on energy dissipation orifice plates can initiate material corrosion of perforated plates, even weaken the energy dissipation performance. In this paper, the fouling performance on energy dissipation orifice plates with sediment contained water flow is investigated. To begin with, the pressure along the path is used to compare with a reported experiment to verify the reliability of the numerical method. Then, effects of the solid particle diameter, the sediment volume concentration and the inlet flow velocity on the particle distribution are observed. The results show that with the increase of the Reynolds number, the sediment volume fraction and the sediment particle diameter, more sediments accumulate at both surfaces of the orifice plate. The Reynolds number and the sediment volume fraction affect the upstream surface more significantly, while the effect of sediment particle diameter is more notable on the downstream surface. Additionally, the energy dissipation coefficient of the orifice plate is mainly dominated by the Reynolds number. This work is of significance for further analysis of fouling problems in energy dissipation orifice plates or similarfluid machinery.

Abstract:The microstructure and chemical composition of cracked water-cooling wall pipe used in power plant were analyzed,and its fracture was analyzed by SEM.The result shows that there are residual stress and inclusions in the structure at weld end between pipe and fin plate,and under working pressure the cracks initiate in weld end,then they propagate along tensile stress area and eventually result in fracture.

Abstract:In order to study the blocked filtration problem occurred in the process of dewatering of copper concentrate slurry disposed by ceramic filter, the physical and chemical properties of copper concentrate, filtrate and filter board were tested and analyzed at different conditions including blocking happening and normal condition by multiple analysis methods. Test results showed that the adsorption of sulphur and calcium sulfate on micropore of ceramic plate turned out to be the main factor of resulting in the blocking. There were many affecting factors leading to the increase of sulphur and calcium sulfate content,the over oxidation happened during the grinding stage and flotation aeration process maybe cause the generation of the two materials.

Abstract:The variations of water quality and flux in 24 h of a wastewater treatment plant in Changsha are monitored.The characteristic of the Carrousel oxidation ditch is obtained.By analysis,it is found that the reason for the less removal of nitrogen in this old plant comes from the absence of anaerobic region in the oxidation ditch.Then corresponding methods are presented.We can improve nitrification and denitrification by controlling dissolved oxygen transfer,flow pattern and flow velocity in the Carrousel oxidation ditch.

Abstract:With a large number of properties such as good mechanical properties and excellent corrosion resistance, 2205 duplex stainless steel (DSS) has been extensively used in many industries for the last decades. However, improper welding procedures will induce embrittlement of the weld joint, seriously decreasing the safety reliability of the weld joint. In this study, lots of unexpected fractures occurred on 2205 DSS which was used as the material for making circulating water pump (CWP) in an ultra-supercritical thermal power plant of China for the first time. By means of diverse characterization methods, comprehensive investigation was carried out on the failed CWP. Analysis results reveal that many lack of penetrations (LOPs) in the weld joint and unbalance ferrite/austenite ratio induced by improper welding procedures should be responsible for the fracture of the CWP. And effective countermeasures and suggestions were also proposed. So the analysis results have instructive significance for the fracture prevention of the CWP, even for ensuring safety operation of other equipment under similar seawater environment. Abstract:To solve the problem of abnormal temperature rise of generator stator slots,unknown foreign powder in the 300MW generator stator water cooling system was characterized and analyzed by SEM and EDS.The experimental results showed that the unknown foreign powder in generator stator cooling water tank was mainly ion exchange resin,ferric oxide,calcium carbonate as well as silica gel and sediment introduced from outside while the unknown powder mixture in the filter was mainly ferric oxide and calcium carbonate.The abnormal rising temperature of stator slots is due to unknown foreign powder blocking the hollow copper conductor of the generator stator.Moreover,counter measurements for solving the problem were tentatively put forward and the practical data and scientific basis for the long-term security and stability operating of large generators were thus provided.

Abstract:In this paper,the water samples were taken from the recycling cooling system of Beijing Jingneng Thermoelectric Plant.The static scaling,dynamic fouling monitor and dynamic simulation tests were performed.The XRD results of fouling indicated that the scaling of reclaimed wastewater in solution and on different material heating bar was mainly composed of calcite;the fouling in brass heat exchange tube mainly of calcite and quartz;in stainless steel heat exchange tube mainly of calcite,quartz and magnetite.The element analysis of fouling forming under all kinds of test condition was performed by XRF and the forming reasons and principles of different fouling were also investigated.

Abstract:In order to find out failure causes of water wall tube burst of a steam heating furnace in a chemical plant,microstructure of inner and outer tube,corrosion products and metallographic structure were analyzed by SEM and other testing instruments.The results showed that oxidation fatigue crack was the primary cause,which was caused by long-term high temperature oxidation environment and alternating load induced by frequent start and stop working conditions,besides,the secondary causes were thick oxide layer on inner and outer tube walland pearlite spheroidization in metallographic structure.

Abstract:The normal operation of large-scale gas turbine generating unit was affected by metal corrosion and scaling.The unknown scale substances on the evaporator of the gas turbine of Shanghai Baosteel Corporation were characterized and analyzed using scanning electron microscope,X-rays diffraction spectrometer,energy dispersive spectrometer,thermogravimetric analysis and inductively coupled plasma spectrometry.It showed that the scale substances were the mixtures of alkaline iron sulfate and this kind of corrosion was sulfate corrosion at a high temperature of 300 ℃.In addition,the mechanism and cause of corrosion were discussed and the corresponding preventive measures were also proposed.

Abstract:Throung tests of non-destructive detection, analysis of chemical composition, metallurgy, energy spectrum, and fractures for the failed reinforcing wires of incoming gas safety isolating strainer on gas turbine No.3 in Yueliangwan Gas Tubine Power Plant, it is determined that one cause leading to early fracture is unsuitable proportion of alloy composition for the stainless wires, the content of mangonese being high, eduction of intergranular carbide, as well as sirious quality problems existing in the material used. It is recommended to select OOCr 17 Ni14 Mo3 or 316L (OOCr17N:14MoZ) austenitic stainless steel having ultta-low carbon content, high Cr and Ni content, and 2%～3%Mo content, and the fabrication of reinforcing wires having to be in conformity with requirements of standard GB4240.

Desalination and Water Treatment

Abstract:“Desalted water” feedwater oxygen treatment dexterously combines the characteristics of water vapor loss in normal operation of unit and the natural saturation of dissolved oxygen in make-up water. It’s a new way to implement oxygenated treatment of boiler feedwater, which is more environmentally friendly and economical. Compared to the conventional oxygen bottles or air oxygen methods, the passivation protection mechanism of the heating surface has no difference in essence, but it’s further improved in the aspects of simple operation, project investment and cost, and reduce the use of dangerous chemical sources. A 350 MW supercritical unit applied this technology in China, after nearly 2 y operation, the cleanliness of the water vapor system and the stability control of dissolved oxygen has achieved successful results. According to operation statistics, the new technology has saved more than 2 million RMB of economic cost for the power plant, and gradually applied in Henan, Guizhou, Hubei, Inner Mongolia and other regions.

Abstract:Analysis study are made to the reliability of dense phase positive pressure gas ash conveying system in 2 045 t/h boiler electrostatic precipitator firstly applied in Shaanxi electric power system.In the light of pipe blockage during the system operation,adding air supplementary,point at elbow of ash conveying pipe has solved the problem of pipe blockage,It is suggested to reduce the number of elbows for lowering the pipe resistance.

Abstract:By means of optical spectrometer(OS),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM)and energy dispersive spectroscope(EDS),the corrosives and fracture face of the perforation of refeed valve manhole door in the petrol coke/coal fired FW circulating fluidized bed(CFB)boiler were studied.Finally,based on the analyses results it is shown that,the corrosion perforation was caused by the co-effect of corrosion and abrasion brought by the high S content corrosive particles,prevention methods and the suggestion that,the material of manhole door should be substituted from hard cast aluminum to Cr-Ni stainless steel,were put forward.

Abstract:Through the analysis of the relationship among spray and flow and performance of dust remover, it gets a better spray structure, and realizes the precipitator of low internal resistance and low water consumption combined with application environment.it proves by application in Jia-Yang mine of Sichuan Coal Group that the wet dust collector can effectively suct the dust air flow in the field, and the working environment of the working surface is obviously improved because the dust removal efficiency of the working face is 96.64%.

Abstract:The atomizing technology of coal-water slurry is a key problem for burning coal-water slurry. The title atomizing nozzle features good atomizing quality, long service life, low comsumption of pressure air, and outstanding anti-blockage performance. The application of said atomizing nozzle to boiler No 3 in Baiyanghe Thermal Power Plant shows, combustion efficiency of more than 98.8% can be achieved.

Abstract:A blockage formed at nozzle of mold during casting of GCr15 bearing steel. The chemical composition and morphology of the nozzle blockage were analyzed by scanning electron microscope/energy dispersive spectrometer and X-ray fluorescence spectrometer. The nozzle blockage was improved by a series of measures such as high carbon tapping, optimization of rapid slag making operation, improvement of slag system, adjustment of static time soft blowing system before casting and tundish and nozzle materials.

Abstract:Blocking problems of scaling formed in gas-gas heaters(GGH) are often encountered in the continuous operation process of domestic wet flue gas desulfurization(WFGD) systems.To find the causes,samples taken from GGH,gypsum byproduct and boiler fly ash were analyzed respectively with scanning electronic microscopy(SEM) for particles' surface morphologies,X-ray diffraction(XRD) for crystal structures and X-ray fluorescence(XRF) for element compositions.Results show that the scaling was caused by saturated gypsum slurry droplets that had not been removed completely by mist eliminators and was carried over to GGH,which subsequently covered by fly ash from flue gas.
