Abstract:By adopting piezoelectric ceramics to drive the valve spool, a precise flux valve was developed, which can precisely control the displacement of valve spool and the aperture area of valve. Metal rubber material was installed on the out port of the valve to decrease the ripples caused by the rapid change of liquid pressure. After the flux valve structure was designed, the flux characteristics of liquid flowing through the valve throttling port and the metal rubber material were analyzed. Based on the force balance equation of the valve spool, the piezoelectric ceramics driving voltage and flux model of the precise flux valve was set up. By installing a micro pressure/flux sensor on the out port of the flux valve, and forming a close loop controlling system with a controller, the precise flux valve functions as a precise relief pressure valve. A cascade connection of the precise relief pressure valve and the flux valve forms a new flux valve, which can realize the precise pressure and flux control. The parallel connection of multi such valves can realize the precise digital ratio adjusting for the out port pressure and flux in some degree. Addition, taking the precise flux valve as a pilot controlling valve and attached with a great flux valve, a precise servo valve with high frequency response can be built.

Abstract:This work focuses on the study of the application of simulated inductor technique to the design of (CD)-D-4 sensor. A grounded simulated inductor, which is on the basis of the classic Riordan simulated inductor, is designed. With the grounded simulated inductor, two kinds of (CD)-D-4 sensors based on series resonance principle are developed. One is the new (CD)-D-4 sensor A, which implements the conductivity measurement by the current-to-voltage conversion. The other is the new (CD)-D-4 sensor B, which implements the conductivity measurement by the measurement of the differential voltage. Conductivity experiments were carried out in four pipes with inner diameters of 2.2 mm, 3.0 mm, 4.6 mm and 6.4 mm. The experimental results show that the designs of the grounded simulated inductor and the two kinds of new (CD)-D-4 sensors are successful. The experimental results also indicate that the sensitivity and the input-output characteristic of the (CD)-D-4 sensor A are better than that of the (CD)-D-4 sensor B. Besides, compared with a practical inductor, the grounded simulated inductor has a comparable performance and has the advantage of adjustable equivalent inductance. The research results obtained in this work can provide a useful reference for the further study of (CD)-D-4 sensor. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Abstract:This paper presents a new solution, which can completely remove the DC offset and compensate the steady-state error for voltage model flux estimation in an induction motor (IM) direct torque control (DTC) system. The voltage model flux estimator has been paid more attention for its clear concept and simple signal processing, however, the integration drift associated with the inherent initial value error and DC offset input, especially in low speed region, can not be completely eliminated by the conventional low-pass-filter (LPF), in addition, LPF also brings steady-state amplitude and phase errors. Based on Bode plots analysis of some existing integrators, a new integrator with a first-order LPF and a high-pass-filter (HPF) in series is proposed to replace the pure integrator. The filters have adaptive cutoff frequency so as to suit various conditions. With the time phasor method, an error compensation formula is derived, which makes it simpler and easier for the new integrator to be applied to the digital control system. The new integrator with error compensation not only completely eliminates the integration drift, but also realizes errorless flux estimation in steady state. Both the simulation and experimental results on a prototype of 4kW IM DTC system show that the performance of the system especially in low speed region has been improved remarkably. This also verifies the effectiveness of the new integrator.

Abstract:The flux observer based on voltage has been obtained more attention for its clear concept and simple usage.However,the inherent initial value error and DC offset problem can not be completely removed using the existing low pass filter(LPF) method.Besides,LPF also brings steady state error.In the proposed method,the pure integrator is replaced by low pass filter and high pass filter(HPF) in series to eliminate the initial value error and DC offset effect,and the steady state error can be compensated completely.So the flux has no amplitude and phase error.The compensation formula is derived with time phasor method.The novel observer is simple and easier to apply to digital system.Both simulation and experimental results show that the induction motor performance in low speed region has been improved remarkably.This also verifies the effectiveness of the novel observer.

Abstract:Electromagnetic flowmeter which is based on Faraday's induction law,is a velocity-type flowmeter.In this paper,electromagnetic flowmeter at home and abroad for the development of the status and trends is introduced in brief.Based on a brief introduction of the electromagnetic flowmeter measurement principle,this article uses MSP430F149 MCU to design LDB electromagnetic flowmeter,MSP430F149 MCU circuit to the core,thus simplifying the circuit design of hardware peripherals to achieve the measurement of liquid flow and accumulation.The diagram of the overall design,some hardware and software control flow chart are given.In this paper,the design of the LDB-type electromagnetic flowmeter has been put into production,the practical applications show that the design of high-precision,low-power and reliability,and other characteristics of the design to meet the basic requirements.

Abstract:Miniaturization and on-chip integration are major lines of research in many branches of science and technology developments, undoubtedly in sensor technology. Fluxgate magnetometers are very sensitive, and accurate magnetic sensors able to detect weak fields both AC and DC, which in recent years saw a great effort in minimizing their dimensions, weight, and power consumption. The physics behind the fluxgate principle is rather complex and makes simulations difficult and only partially used in the literature. The limited physical access to micro sensors for measurements and the need to optimize the entire integrated system, including the sensor geometry and the excitation and readout circuits, make numerical analyses particularly useful in the design of miniaturized sensors. After a thorough review of the miniaturized solutions proposed so far, the present paper examines in detail the possibility of adopting a model based approach for designing miniaturized fluxgate sensors. The model of the fluxgate effect of two different technologies proposed in the literature has been implemented to benchmark simulation results with real data. In addition to the advantages for an optimized design, the implementation and computational challenges of the numerical analyses are precisely outlined.

Abstract:The vortex frequency measurement is one of the key techniques in vortex flowmeter.As the vortex frequency is proportional to flowrate,it varies in a wide range.Often affected by various disturbances in industrial plant,it is hard to increase the measurement accuracy of vortex frequency.Bassed on traditional measurement circuits of vortex flowmeter,by analysing the features of the vortex frequency,this paper proposed an improved circuit by adopting adaptive filtering and adaptive expansion of period.The results from simulation and experiments show that the method can weaken disturbances and increase the measurement accuracy effectively.

Abstract:The key point of the magnetic flux control in active magnetic bearings （AMBs） is the acquisition of air-gap flux. For flux sensors are hard to be fixed in air gap, the direct measurement of air-gap flux is not easy to implement in AMB systems. By contrast, flux observers have a better feasibility. Combined with the research of flux observers in electrical motors, the problems of the voltage model and the current model applied to the AMB system were analyzed; then the advantages of the compound flux observer was discussed. For the variation of the coil resistance has a tremendous influence on the flux observation, a resistance self-tuning method based on the model reference adaptive control was proposed. The simulation models were built by Matlab/Simulink, and a power amplifier with DSP2812 at the core was developed based on the flux observer. The results of simulation and the experiment verified the correctness of theoretical analysis.

Abstract:The growth rate of vortex flowmeter is high. At present, vortex flowmeter is applied extensively to the measurement of pipe flow rate, and have become one of the flowmeters available for general use. However, vortex flowmeter is developing flowmeter. There are still some limits in understanding of fundamental flow physics and experience of practical application. In order to solve these problems, many efforts have been done to the vortex flowmeter, and progresses have been achieved. The development of vortex flowmeter is discussed and reviewed in these aspects: vortex separating, vortex shedder shape, vortex shedding signal measurement and processing. The difficulty in research and future trends of vortex flowmeter are also discussed. A new mass flow rate measurement method using vortex shedding principle is proposed.

Abstract:A zero-flux current sensor to be used in International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor for large DC current measurement is researched and developed. A magnetic flux equilibrium equation based on linearity assumption is introduced to predict its operating parameters. The analysis is done by 3D finite element method and greatly simplified with the help of the sensor's characteristic matrix. Corresponding experimental tests are also performed on a prototype and the results fit very well with the computed ones. And the sensor's measurement accuracy and compatibility against external field noise have also been proved by the test results.

Abstract:In order to improve the ability of fluxgate current sensor to detect weak residual current, starting from the magnetic ring, which is the key magnetic concentrating element, and adopting the method of Comsol simulation analysis, the open-loop fluxgate is introduced from the aspects of magnetic ring material selection and structural design, etc. The key technology of the design of the magnetic concentrating ring of the current sensor is verified by experiments that the magnetic ring can increase the sensitivity of the current measurement by 15.4 times, and the frequency can reach 6.7 kHz, which can meet the AC and DC complex leakage current detection. Provide technical reference for designers engaged in this type of sensor.

Abstract:Aiming at several automatic flux compensation valve models we designed by CFD,lots of experimental investigations were performed.The curve of flux and pressure of the valve and the formula to modify the flux coefficient of side hole of spool were got.The linearity modification of the geometry shape of the hole was studied.The investigations indicate that the automatic flux compensation valves modified by our experiments have a high precision of flux control.

Abstract:Due to the mechanism of vortex flowmeter, it is susceptible to the random disturbance from the ambient. With the goal of improving the poor sensitivity and noise immunity of conventional vortex flowmeter at low-flowrate, many researchers have done lots of work, focusing on innovation about the bluff, including the geometry or combinations, and the signal processing. This paper presents an adaptive algorithm for a vortex flowmeter with dual bluff body to improve its sensitivity for low flowrate applications. In our study, we get the distance where intension of vortex getting strongest by experiment. Comparative experimental results of vortex with single bluff body, dual bluff body and dual bluff body combing self-adaption FFT verify the improvements of the flow performance at small flowrate. Abstract:Accurate flux estimation is essential for the implementation of a high-performance ac motor drive. However, it still faces some problems, which can better be projected by analyzing performances of existing flux estimators, implemented with either a pure integrator or a low-pass filter (LPF). To solve the problems, an alternative flux estimator, implemented with a single second-order generalized integrator (SOGI) and a frequency-locked loop (FLL), is discussed for induction motor drives. The SOGI block included in this algorithm works for integrating the back-electromotive force, which unlike the pure integrator and LPF, does not experience saturation and significant dc offsets caused by different initial conditions. The single-SOGI-FLL estimator does not need additional magnitude and phase compensation, while its performance may deteriorate at low speed, caused by the inverse proportional relationship between its estimated flux and the frequency. A multi-SOGI-FLL flux estimator is, thus, proposed for uncompromised attenuation of dc and harmonic errors even under low-speed condition. Excellent flux estimation can, hence, be offered over the full-speed range, as proven through theoretical studies and experiments.

Abstract:This article proposes a voltage-to-frequency converter (VFC) design using unipolar metal-oxide thin film transistor (TFT) technology. The proposed VFC has an integrator and Schmitt trigger based structure. This structure has the advantages of constant power consumption, full-swing output, and low circuit complexity compared to the early designs. To verify the proposed design, SmartSpice simulation based on a Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) model whose parameters are turned to fix the measured characteristics of our indium tin oxide(ITO-) stabilized ZnO TFTs is carried out. The ITO-stabilized ZnO TFT has a single-gate staggered structure. Its typical field-effect mobility, threshold voltage, on/off current ratio, and subthreshold-slope are 14.5 cm 2 /Vs, 0.5 V, 1.2×10 8 , and 77 mV/decade, respectively. Simulation results show that the proposed VFC has maximum linearity error less than 1.8%, tuning sensitivity about 1 kHz/V, and power consumption less than 130 μW even under device variations. These performances are competitive compared to the state-of-the-arts. When configured to an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), 6 bit resolution and 14 S/s sampling rate can be realized. These results indicate that the VFC can find potential applications in flexible large-area low-voltage sensor interfaces for quasi-static signals.
