DEVELOPMENT OF MID-PRESSURE HYDROCRACKING FOR MORE MIDDLE DISTILLATES

Abstract:Mid-pressure hydrocracking technology, RMC, developed by Beijing Research Institute of Petroleum Processing was introduced. The study was conducted on a pilot plant with two reactors in series over a hydrofining catalyst with high denitrogenation activity and a nitrogen resistant hydrocracking catalyst using high end point VGO's operated in once-through mode. The pilot plant results showed that both catalysts exhibited good activity and stability. Mid-pressure hydrocracking technology can simultaneously produce high aromatics potential reforming feedstock and low sulfur middle distillates.
