Abstract:Fluoroalkylated quinoxlines with various groups were efficiently synthesized via a one-pot tandem Michael addition/azidation/cycloamination process. Under the mild and metal-free conditions, a bis-imine intermediate (4a) was detected and isolated for the first time. KI played a crucial role in this reaction. The mechanism was described.

Abstract:Hexamethyldisilazane-mediated reaction of quinazolin-4(3H)-ones with primary amines led to facile formation of 4-aminoquinazolines through tandem silylation and substitution in a single pot. The approach includes the assembly of the target molecules from allenic or acetylenic carbanions, aromatic isothiocyanates, and alkylating agents, The process proceeds in a single synthetic operation via the formation and 6π‐electrocyclization of N‐aryl‐1‐aza‐1,3,4‐trienes, R2R3C=C=C(R1)C(SAlk)=NAr, with the participation of the carbon‐carbon double bond of the phenyl group and the azadiene fragment of the azatrienic system.

Abstract:A novel method for the synthesis of C2-quaternary indole-3-ones via palladium-catalyzed one-pot transformation of 2-alkynyl arylazides is described. The reaction produced in moderate to excellent yields under mild conditions. This novel rearrangement of 1-H-indole-3-sulfonates represents an important contribution to the application of aryl sulfonates.

Abstract:Abstract Copper-catalyzed tandem reaction of ortho-bromobenzamides and isothiocyanates is described, which provides an efficient and practical route for the synthesis of 2-thioxo-2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones. The optimal condition involved the following parameters: CuI as precatalyst, Cs2CO3 as base, N,N′-dimethylethane-1,2-diamine as ligand, and toluene as solvent, with reaction temperature at 120 °C.
