Abstract:A convenient and efficient copper-catalyzed one-pot process for the construction of 6H-benzo[b]benzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2-d][1,4]oxazines through reactions of 2-halophenols with 2-(chloromethyl)-1H-benzo[d]imidazoles under mild conditions is described. The reactions afforded a variety of products in good to excellent yields.

Abstract:A novel protocol for the facile synthesis of chiral 3-substituted 1,3,4,5-tetrahydrobenzo[e] [1,4]diazepin-2-ones via a domino reaction has been developed, which involves a cascade of S(N)2 nucleophilic substitution and copper-catalyzed C-N coupling reactions of a-amino acid amides and orthohalobenzyl halides. This protocol has some merits, such as one-pot process, easy operation, a wide scope of substrates. Furthermore, no heavy racemization occurs during the reaction.

Abstract:Here, a general copper-catalyzed radical cascade carbocyclization reaction with 2-arylbenzoimidazoles and a Togni reagent was realized. Structurally diverse CF3-containing tetracyclic core benzimidazo[2,1-a]isoquinoline-6(5H)-ones were obtained in moderate to good yields. The wide substrate scope, good functional group tolerance, and ease of scale-up of this method are expected to promote its potential applications in pharmacy and biotechnology.
