Abstract:A cobalt and copper catalyzed reaction protocol has been developed to achieve the oxidative C-H/N-H annulation of benzamides containing an 8-aminoquinoline moiety as the directing group with ketones. Structurally diverse isoindolin-1-ones were furnished by the reaction of various substituent benzamides with ketones.

Abstract:Here, a general copper-catalyzed radical cascade carbocyclization reaction with 2-arylbenzoimidazoles and a Togni reagent was realized. Structurally diverse CF3-containing tetracyclic core benzimidazo[2,1-a]isoquinoline-6(5H)-ones were obtained in moderate to good yields. The wide substrate scope, good functional group tolerance, and ease of scale-up of this method are expected to promote its potential applications in pharmacy and biotechnology.

Abstract:A Cu-catalyzed tandem synthesis of azole-fused pyrimido[1,2-c]quinazolines and imidazo[1,2-c]quinazolines has been developed. The reaction is based on a C-N cross-coupling/C-H functionalization reaction of 2-(2-bromophenyl)-1,4,5,6-tetrahydropyrimidines with azoles. Abstract:A convenient and efficient copper-catalyzed cascade method has been developed for synthesis of benzimidazoisoquinoline derivatives via reactions of readily available substituted 2-(2-halophenyObenzoimidazoles with alkyl cyanoacetates under mild condition, and the corresponding alkyl 6-aminobenzimidazo[2,1-a]isoquinoline-5-carboxylates were obtained in good to excellent yields. The novel method provides diverse and useful poly N-heterocyclic compounds for combinatorial chemistry and medicinal chemistry.
