Abstract:A one-pot procedure for the synthesis of substituted benzimidazo[1,2-a]quinolines from the corresponding benzimidazoles and 2-bromobenzaldehydes has been developed. The titled products were prepared through Knoevenagel condensation and copper-catalyzed intramolecular Ullmann-type coupling in moderate to good yields.

Abstract:A cobalt and copper catalyzed reaction protocol has been developed to achieve the oxidative C-H/N-H annulation of benzamides containing an 8-aminoquinoline moiety as the directing group with ketones. Structurally diverse isoindolin-1-ones were furnished by the reaction of various substituent benzamides with ketones.

Abstract:A convenient and efficient copper-catalyzed one-pot process for the construction of 6H-benzo[b]benzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2-d][1,4]oxazines through reactions of 2-halophenols with 2-(chloromethyl)-1H-benzo[d]imidazoles under mild conditions is described. Abstract:Here, a general copper-catalyzed radical cascade carbocyclization reaction with 2-arylbenzoimidazoles and a Togni reagent was realized. Structurally diverse CF3-containing tetracyclic core benzimidazo[2,1-a]isoquinoline-6(5H)-ones were obtained in moderate to good yields. The wide substrate scope, good functional group tolerance, and ease of scale-up of this method are expected to promote its potential applications in pharmacy and biotechnology.
