Abstract:An easy and efficient method has been developed for the synthesis of pyrazolo[1,5-c]quinazolines via one-pot two-step reactions of readily available substituted 1-(2-halophenyl)-3-akylprop-2-yn-1-ones, hydrazine hydrochloride and amidine hydrochlorides under mild conditions, and the corresponding pyrazolo[1,5-c]quinazolines were obtained in good to excellent yields. The novel method affords a new strategy for the construction of diverse and useful poly N-heterocyclic compounds.

Abstract:An efficient and practical copper-catalyzed one-pot method for synthesis of tetrahydroisoquinolino[2,1-a]quinazolinone derivatives has been developed, and the corresponding target products were prepared in moderate to good yields. The one-pot approach underwent sequential copper-catalyzed N-arylation, intramolecular aerobic oxidative cyclization, and the newly synthesized products provided diverse structures for screening of biological molecules.

Abstract:A copper-catalyzed one-pot cascade cyclization of 2-(1-(acetyloxy)propargyl)benzaldehydes with o-phenylenediamines for easy access to substituted isoindolo[2,1-a]quinoxalines has been developed. The reaction features readily available starting materials, simple operational procedure, and broad substrate scopes. Under optimal conditions, various isoindolo[2,1-a]quinoxalines were afforded in 41-88% yields.
