Abstract:A novel and efficient copper-catalyzed cascade method for the synthesis of quinazoline derivatives has been developed. The protocol uses readily available substituted (2-bromophenyl)methylamines and amidine hydrochlorides as the starting materials, inexpensive CuBr as the catalyst, and economical and environment friendly air as the oxidant, and the corresponding quinazoline derivatives were obtained in moderate to good yields. The procedure underwent sequential intermolecular N-arylation, intramolecular nucleophilic substitution and aerobic oxidation.

Abstract:A Cu-catalyzed tandem transformation of Ugi adducts through CH/NH bond functionalization reactions was reported for synthesizing a broad spectrum of indolo/pyrrolo-[1,2- a ]quinoxaline-6/4-carboxamide, 7 H -indolo[2,3- c ]quinoline-6-carboxamide, and 1-(cyclohexylamino)-14 H -indolo[2,3- c ][1,4]oxazino[4,3- a ]quinolin-4(3 H )-one derivatives in moderate to excellent yields. In this protocol the Ugi condensation of aromatic aldehydes, anilines, acids, and isocyanides leads to the formation of bis-amides in methanol at room temperature. This approach employed simple reaction conditions, including Ugi product as starting material, CuI, L -proline as a ligand, and cesium carbonate, in DMSO for 8 h. This method demonstrated efficiency in synthesizing fused-nitrogen-containing heterocycles through a convenient pathway.

Abstract:A Cu-catalyzed tandem synthesis of azole-fused pyrimido[1,2-c]quinazolines and imidazo[1,2-c]quinazolines has been developed. The reaction is based on a C-N cross-coupling/C-H functionalization reaction of 2-(2-bromophenyl)-1,4,5,6-tetrahydropyrimidines with azoles. Abstract:The treatment of 2-amino-N'-arylbenzohydrazide and o-halogenated benzaldehyde in the presence of CuBr and Cs2CO3 gave 5-arylindazolo[3,2-b]quinazolin-7(5H)-one in high yields. Abstract:We have developed a versatile and efficient method for copper-catalyzed synthesis of both 2-amino-4(3H)-quinazolinone and 2-aminoquinazoline derivatives. The protocol uses readily available substituted 2-halobenzoic acids, 2-bromobenzaldehyde, 2-bromophenyl ketones and guanidines as the starting materials, inexpensive copper(I) iodide as the catalyst, and the method has important application values for construction of N-heterocycles in organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry.
