Abstract:A simple, efficient and practical approach to 1H-indolo[1,2-c]quinazoline derivatives has been developed that uses inexpensive and readily-available catalyst and substrates. Abstract:A copper-catalyzed one-pot cascade cyclization of 2-(1-(acetyloxy)propargyl)benzaldehydes with o-phenylenediamines for easy access to substituted isoindolo[2,1-a]quinoxalines has been developed. The reaction features readily available starting materials, simple operational procedure, and broad substrate scopes. Under optimal conditions, various isoindolo[2,1-a]quinoxalines were afforded in 41-88% yields.

Abstract:Here, a general copper-catalyzed radical cascade carbocyclization reaction with 2-arylbenzoimidazoles and a Togni reagent was realized. Structurally diverse CF3-containing tetracyclic core benzimidazo[2,1-a]isoquinoline-6(5H)-ones were obtained in moderate to good yields. The wide substrate scope, good functional group tolerance, and ease of scale-up of this method are expected to promote its potential applications in pharmacy and biotechnology.

Abstract:A Cu-catalyzed tandem synthesis of azole-fused pyrimido[1,2-c]quinazolines and imidazo[1,2-c]quinazolines has been developed. The reaction is based on a C-N cross-coupling/C-H functionalization reaction of 2-(2-bromophenyl)-1,4,5,6-tetrahydropyrimidines with azoles. Abstract:A copper-catalyzed four-component cascade annulation is realized to access novel sulfonyl-functionalized quinone-fused cyclopenta[b]indoles with high step economy and broad substrate scope, and 34 examples are constructed in one pot with up to 88% yield. This process includes sulfonyl radical triggered tandem cyclization by selective 1,1,2-trifunctionalization of terminal acetylene.

Abstract:An efficient and practical method for the synthesis of 1,2,4-triazolo[5,1-b]quinazolin-9(3H)-ones has been developed via the copper-catalyzed domino reactions of readily available substituted N-acetyl-2-bromobenzohydrazides with cyanamide. The protocol uses inexpensive CuI as the catalyst, and no other ligand or additive was required. The target products were prepared in good to excellent yields with tolerance of various functional groups.

Abstract:A novel strategy based on Cu-catalyzed (4+1) cascade annulation of terminal alkynes as one-carbon synthons with 2-(tosylmethyl)anilines has been developed for the expeditious synthesis of 2,3-disubstituted indoles, in which in situ generations of aza-o-quinone methides and alkynyl-copper(I) species are involved. This annulation provides an effective method for the assembly of synthetically and structurally interesting 2,3-disubstituted indoles.
