Abstract:Dumortier and Roussarie proposed a conjecture in their paper (2009, Discrete Con. Dyn. Sys., 2,723-781): For any \begin{document}$ q\in {\mathbb{N}} $\end{document} , the Abelian integrals \begin{document}$ J_{2j+1}(h) = \int_{\gamma_h}x^{2j-1}\,\mathrm dy $\end{document} , \begin{document}$ j = 0, 1, 2, \cdots, q $\end{document} , form a strict Chebyshev system on intervals \begin{document}$ h\in (0, \frac{1}{2}] $\end{document} , where \begin{document}$ \gamma_h = \{(x, y)| \mathrm e^{-2y}(y+\frac{1}{2}-x^2) = h\} $\end{document} . If this conjecture holds, then they obtain the precise upper bound of the number of limit cycles that appear near a slow-fast Hopf point of any codimension. In the present paper we develop a method to estimate the number of zeros of Abelian integrals and prove this conjecture.

Abstract:Like the closing lemma, the connecting lemma is of fundamental importance in dynamical systems. Hayashi recently proved the C 1 C^1 connecting lemma for stable and unstable manifolds of a hyperbolic invariant set. In this paper, we prove several very general C 1 C^1 connecting lemmas. We simplify Hayashi’s proof and extend the results to more general cases.

Abstract:It seems that in Mañé’s proof of the C 1Ω-stability conjecture containing in the famous paper which published in I. H. E. S. (1988), there exists a deficiency in the main lemma which says that for f∈ ${\fancyscriptF}$ 1(M) there exists a dominated splitting $TM_{{\left| {\overline{P} _{i} {\left( f \right)}} \right.}} = \widetilde{E}^{s}_{i} \oplus \widetilde{F}^{u}_{i} $ (0 < i < dim M) such that if $\widetilde{E}^{s}_{i} $ is contracting, then $\widetilde{F}^{u}_{i} $ is expanding. In the first part of the paper, we give a proof to fill up this deficiency. In the last part of the paper, we, under a weak assumption, prove a result that seems to be useful in the study of dynamics in some other stability context.

Abstract:We present a more general form of the mountain pass lemma. It asserts that a C1 functional which satisfies the Palais–Smale condition admits a critical value when the connectedness of certain level sets changes. We also give an improved form of a theorem given in [A. Bahri, H. Berestycki, A perturbation method in critical point theory and applications, Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 267 (1) (1981) 1–32], which characterizes the existence of the critical value by means of contractibility properties of the level sets.

Abstract:Perturbation analysis in probabilistic verification addresses the robustness and sensitivity problem for verification of stochastic models against qualitative and quantitative properties. We identify two types of perturbation bounds, namely non-asymptotic bounds and asymptotic bounds. Non-asymptotic bounds are exact, pointwise bounds that quantify the upper and lower bounds of the verification result subject to a given perturbation of the model, whereas asymptotic bounds are closed-form bounds that approximate non-asymptotic bounds by assuming that the given perturbation is sufficiently small. We perform perturbation analysis in the setting of Discrete-time Markov Chains. We consider three basic matrix norms to capture the perturbation distance, and focus on the computational aspect. Our main contributions include algorithms and tight complexity bounds for calculating both non-asymptotic bounds and asymptotic bounds with respect to the three perturbation distances.

Abstract:Let $F$ be a totally real field in which $p$ is unramified. We prove that, if a cuspidal overconvergent Hilbert cuspidal form has small slopes under $U_p$-operators, then it is classical. Our method follows the original cohomological approach of Coleman. The key ingredient of the proof is giving an explicit description of the Goren-Oort stratification of the special fiber of the Hilbert modular variety. A byproduct of the proof is to show that, at least when $p$ is inert, of the rigid cohomology of the ordinary locus has the same image as the classical forms in the Grothendieck group of Hecke modules.

A Circuit Protection Method Based on Minterm Perturbation

Abstract:As a defence to the SAT-based de-camouflaging attack, a brand new camouflaging strategy (called CamoPerturb) has been proposed. This camouflaging strategy achieves good resistance against the SAT-based attack. However, there is no stable generation algorithm for the perturbation circuit of the CamoPerturb. Furthermore, there is no way to control three key logic: specific output, specific gate and specific minterm, which makes it difficult for the technology to be used in practical circuits. In this paper, a perturbation circuit generation algorithm is proposed. By dividing a limited region, introducing the original input signal and narrowing the minterm range affected by the logic gate, we can find a single minterm perturbation quickly. Furthermore, we can design key logic arbitrarily. The experimental results in ISCAS’ 89 benchmark circuits and the controllers of the OpenSPARC microprocessor show that our method can be applied to the actual circuit stably with very little time consumption. Finally, our method is experimentally analyzed on an IP (intellectual property) core circuit (full adder circuit).
