Abstract:Like the closing lemma, the connecting lemma is of fundamental importance in dynamical systems. Hayashi recently proved the C 1 C^1 connecting lemma for stable and unstable manifolds of a hyperbolic invariant set. In this paper, we prove several very general C 1 C^1 connecting lemmas. We simplify Hayashi’s proof and extend the results to more general cases.

Abstract:We prove some C 1 generic results about orbit-connecting, in particular about heteroclinic cycles and homoclinic closures. As a consequence we obtain a three-ways C 1 density theorem: Diffeomorphisms with either infinitely many weakly transitive components or a heterodimensional cycle are C 1 dense in the complement of the C 1 closure of Axiom A and no-cycle diffeomorphisms.

Abstract:We present a more general form of the mountain pass lemma. It asserts that a C1 functional which satisfies the Palais–Smale condition admits a critical value when the connectedness of certain level sets changes. We also give an improved form of a theorem given in [A. Bahri, H. Berestycki, A perturbation method in critical point theory and applications, Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 267 (1) (1981) 1–32], which characterizes the existence of the critical value by means of contractibility properties of the level sets.

Abstract:Dumortier and Roussarie proposed a conjecture in their paper (2009, Discrete Con. Dyn. Sys., 2,723-781): For any \begin{document}$ q\in {\mathbb{N}} $\end{document} , the Abelian integrals \begin{document}$ J_{2j+1}(h) = \int_{\gamma_h}x^{2j-1}\,\mathrm dy $\end{document} , \begin{document}$ j = 0, 1, 2, \cdots, q $\end{document} , form a strict Chebyshev system on intervals \begin{document}$ h\in (0, \frac{1}{2}] $\end{document} , where \begin{document}$ \gamma_h = \{(x, y)| \mathrm e^{-2y}(y+\frac{1}{2}-x^2) = h\} $\end{document} . If this conjecture holds, then they obtain the precise upper bound of the number of limit cycles that appear near a slow-fast Hopf point of any codimension. In the present paper we develop a method to estimate the number of zeros of Abelian integrals and prove this conjecture.
$C^1$-robust homoclinic tangencies

Abstract:The aim of this paper is twofold. First, motivated by the nearly-affine blender system found in [LT24], we introduce standard blenders and their variations, and prove their fundamental properties on the generation of $C^1$-robust tangencies. Next, as an application, we show that unfolding a homoclinic tangency to a hyperbolic periodic point can produce uncountably many $C^1$-robust homoclinic tangencies, provided that either this point is involved in a coindex-1 heterodimensional cycle, or the central dynamics near it are not essentially two-dimensional.

Abstract:It seems that in Mañé’s proof of the C 1Ω-stability conjecture containing in the famous paper which published in I. H. E. S. (1988), there exists a deficiency in the main lemma which says that for f∈ ${\fancyscriptF}$ 1(M) there exists a dominated splitting $TM_{{\left| {\overline{P} _{i} {\left( f \right)}} \right.}} = \widetilde{E}^{s}_{i} \oplus \widetilde{F}^{u}_{i} $ (0 < i < dim M) such that if $\widetilde{E}^{s}_{i} $ is contracting, then $\widetilde{F}^{u}_{i} $ is expanding. In the first part of the paper, we give a proof to fill up this deficiency. In the last part of the paper, we, under a weak assumption, prove a result that seems to be useful in the study of dynamics in some other stability context.

Abstract:In this paper, we propose the C1-networks, including the complete C1-networks and the incomplete C1-networks, which evolved from the B-networks. The main difference between the complete C1-network and the B-network is their connecting pattern between the stages. The available MINs to date are almost all restricted by the port number in the power of 2. The C1-network is not under the control of this restriction, hence, good flexibility is obtained. In addition, the single-buffer performance model is developed and evaluated, and some results are given.

Abstract:Let $F$ be a totally real field in which $p$ is unramified. We prove that, if a cuspidal overconvergent Hilbert cuspidal form has small slopes under $U_p$-operators, then it is classical. Our method follows the original cohomological approach of Coleman. The key ingredient of the proof is giving an explicit description of the Goren-Oort stratification of the special fiber of the Hilbert modular variety. A byproduct of the proof is to show that, at least when $p$ is inert, of the rigid cohomology of the ordinary locus has the same image as the classical forms in the Grothendieck group of Hecke modules.

Abstract:Consider the space of all inner functions on the unit open disk under the uniform topology, which is a metric topology induced by the -norm. In the present paper, a class of Blaschke products, denoted by , is introduced. We prove that for each , B and zB belong to the same path-connected component of . It plays an important role of a method to select a suitable subsequence of zeros. As a byproduct, we obtain that each Blaschke product in has an interpolating and one-component factor.
