Abstract:Like the closing lemma, the connecting lemma is of fundamental importance in dynamical systems. Hayashi recently proved the C 1 C^1 connecting lemma for stable and unstable manifolds of a hyperbolic invariant set. In this paper, we prove several very general C 1 C^1 connecting lemmas. We simplify Hayashi’s proof and extend the results to more general cases.

Abstract:The Mordell--Lang conjecture for abelian varieties states that the intersection of an algebraic subvariety $X$ with a subgroup of finite rank is contained in a finite union of cosets contained in $X$. In this article, we prove a uniform version of this conjecture, meaning that that the number of cosets necessary does not depend on the ambient abelian variety. To achieve this, we prove a general gap principle on algebraic points that extends the gap principle for curves embedded into their Jacobians, previously obtained by Dimitrov--Gao--Habegger and Kühne. Our new gap principle also implies the full uniform Bogomolov conjecture in abelian varieties.

Abstract:Let $\alpha, \beta \in (0,1)$ such that at least one of them is irrational. We take a random walk on the real line such that the choice of $\alpha$ and $\beta$ has equal probability $1/2$. We prove that almost surely the $\alpha\beta$-orbit is uniformly distributed module one, and the exponential sums along its orbit has the square root cancellation. We also show that the exceptional set in the probability space, which does not have the property of uniform distribution modulo one, is large in the terms of topology and Hausdorff dimension.

Abstract:For every r is an element of N->= 2 boolean OR {infinity} , we prove a C (R) -orbit connecting lemma for dynamically coherent and plaque expansive partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms with one-dimensional orientation preserving center bundle. To be precise, for such a diffeomorphism f, if a point y is chain attainable from x through pseudo-orbits, then for any neighborhood U of x and any neighborhood V of y, there exist true orbits from U to V by arbitrarily C (R) -small perturbations. As a consequence, we prove that for C-r -generic diffeomorphisms in this class, periodic points are dense in the chain recurrent set, and chain transitivity implies transitivity.

Abstract:We study the property of uniform discreteness within discrete orbits of non-uniform lattices in $SL_2(\mathbb{R})$, acting on $\mathbb{R}^2$ by linear transformations. We provide quantitative consequences of previous results by using Diophantine properties. We give a partial result toward a conjecture of Lelièvre regarding the set of long cylinder holonomy vectors of the "golden L" translation surface: for any $\epsilon>0$, three points of this set can be found on a horizontal line within a distance of $\epsilon$ of each other.

A $C^r$-connecting lemma for Lorenz attractors and its application on the space of ergodic measures

Abstract:For every $r\in\mathbb{N}_{\geq 2}\cup\{\infty\}$, we prove a $C^r$-connecting lemma for Lorenz attractors. To be precise, for a Lorenz attractor of a $3$-dimensional $C^r$ ($r\geq 2$) vector field, a heteroclinic orbit associated to the singularity and a critical element can be created through arbitrarily small $C^r$-perturbations. As an application, we show that for $C^r$-dense geometric Lorenz attractors, the Dirac measure of the singularity is isolated inside the space of ergodic measures and thus the ergodic measure space is not connected; while for $C^r$-generic geometric Lorenz attractors, the space of ergodic measures is path connected with dense periodic measures. In particular, the generic part proves a conjecture proposed by C. Bonatti in $C^r$-topology for Lorenz attractors.

Abstract:The point orbits under continuous self-maps on completely densely ordered linear ordered topological spaces (CDOLOTSs) are discussed. First, we point that the density of orbits implies the topological transitivity of the continuous self-map. Then, we give the necessary conditions for the density of the orbit under the even iterations. Such conditions are established on the fact that x (x is an element of L, L is a closed interval on a CDOLOTS) has a dense orbit under the continuous self-map.

Abstract:We prove some C 1 generic results about orbit-connecting, in particular about heteroclinic cycles and homoclinic closures. As a consequence we obtain a three-ways C 1 density theorem: Diffeomorphisms with either infinitely many weakly transitive components or a heterodimensional cycle are C 1 dense in the complement of the C 1 closure of Axiom A and no-cycle diffeomorphisms.

Abstract:Let A be an abelian variety defined over a number field F. For a prime number $\ell$, we consider the field extension of F generated by the $\ell$-powered torsion points of A. According to a conjecture made by Rasmussen and Tamagawa, if we require these fields to be both a pro-$\ell$ extension of $F(\mu_{\ell^{\infty}})$ and unramified away from $\ell$, examples are quite rare. Indeed, it is expected that for a fixed dimension and field of definition, there exists such an abelian variety for only a finite number of primes. We prove a uniform version of the conjecture in the case where the abelian varieties are elliptic curves with complex multiplication. In addition, we provide explicit bounds in cases where the number field has degree less than or equal to 100.

Abstract:We prove that for C-1 generic diffeomorphisms, every isolated compact invariant set Lambda which satisfies a mild condition on the hyperbolicity of periodic points in Lambda (called the L-NUH condition, see definition 1.1) is hyperbolic. In parallel, we prove that for C-1 diffeomorphisms, every compact invariant set which satisfies Katok's periodic closing property and the L-NUH condition on periodic points is hyperbolic, which is a generalized result of Castro et al (2007 Nonlinearity 20 75-85) for C-2 case with a periodic closing property (called periodic shadowing property in Castro et al (2007 Nonlinearity 20 75-85)).

Abstract:In contrast to the time-dependent case, the time-t-section of Mane set of autonomous Lagrangian systems is independent of time, thus, it is nowhere disconnected. This causes some difference in the study of dynamics, for instance, Mather's c-equivalence cannot exist among different cohomology classes if they are not in a flat of the alpha-function (cf (Bernard 2002 Ann. Inst. Fourier 52 1533-68.)). In this paper, we show how to construct connecting orbits in autonomous systems, and propose a modified notion of c-equivalence. We also apply the result to construct diffusion orbits in an energy surface.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is twofold. First, motivated by the nearly-affine blender system found in [LT24], we introduce standard blenders and their variations, and prove their fundamental properties on the generation of $C^1$-robust tangencies. Next, as an application, we show that unfolding a homoclinic tangency to a hyperbolic periodic point can produce uncountably many $C^1$-robust homoclinic tangencies, provided that either this point is involved in a coindex-1 heterodimensional cycle, or the central dynamics near it are not essentially two-dimensional.

Abstract:We obtain the scaling limits of random graphs drawn uniformly in three families of intersection graphs: permutation graphs, circle graphs, and unit interval graphs. The two first families typically generate dense graphs, in these cases we prove a.s. convergence to an explicit deterministic graphon. Uniform unit interval graphs are nondense and we prove convergence in the sense of Gromov-Prokhorov after normalization of the distances: the limiting object is the interval $[0,1]$ endowed with a random metric defined through a Brownian excursion. Asymptotic results for the number of cliques of size $k$ ($k$ fixed) in a uniform random graph in each of these three families are also given.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove a version of Arnol'd-Liouville theorem for C 1 commuting Hamiltonians. We show that the Lipschitz regularity of the foliation by invariant Lagrangian tori is crucial to determine the Dynamics on each Lagrangian torus and that the C 1 regularity of the foliation by invariant Lagrangian tori is crucial to prove the continuity of Arnol'd-Liouville coordinates. We also explore various notions of C 0 and Lipschitz integrability.

Abstract:We study topological aspects of the category of abstract Cuntz semigroups, termed Cu. We provide a suitable setting in which we are able to uniformly control how to approach an element of a Cu-semigroup by a rapidly increasing sequence. This approximation induces a semimetric on the set of Cu-morphisms, generalizing Cu-metrics that had been constructed in the past for some particular cases. Further, we develop an approximate intertwining theory for the category Cu. Finally, we give several applications such as the classification of unitary elements of any unital AF-algebra by means of the functor Cu.

Abstract:We introduce a notion of inertial equivalence for integral $\ell$-adic representation of the Galois group of a global field. We show that the collection of continuous, semisimple, pure $\ell$-adic representations of the absolute Galois group of a global field lifting a fixed absolutely irreducible residual representation and with given inertial type outside a fixed finite set of places is uniformly bounded independent of the inertial type.

Abstract:In a recent paper, Bakalov and Milanov (Compositio. Math. 149: 840–888, 2013) proved that the total descendant potential of a simple singularity satisfies the 𝒲 -constraints, which come from the 𝒲 -algebra of the lattice vertex algebra associated with the root lattice of this singularity and a twisted module of the vertex algebra. In the present paper, we prove that the solution of these 𝒲 -constraints is unique up to a constant factor, as conjectured by Bakalov and Milanov in their paper.
