Abstract:Intrinsic Conformal Symmetries have emerged as a tool for developing viable and physically coherent models, particularly in scenarios incorporating a negative cosmological constant. This study demonstrates that when the bulk geometry accommodates a set of $10$ Intrinsic Conformal Symmetries, which operate on three-dimensional hypersurfaces (be they spacelike or timelike), it leads to the existence of two distinct families of five-dimensional spacetimes. These spacetimes represent the general solutions to the bulk field equations. An aspect of these models is the composition of their energy-momentum tensor, which includes two key components: a negative cosmological constant and a parallel pressure $p_{\parallel}$ aligned with the extra spatial dimension. This framework can be perceived as a $5D$ extension of the recently identified Spatially Inhomogeneous and Irrotational spacetimes. Significantly, these models offer a novel perspective for investigating the impacts of spatial inhomogeneity on the cosmological evolution of the Universe, particularly within the context of the Randall-Sundrum theory. This exploration is essential for deepening our understanding of the role of higher dimensions in cosmological models.

Abstract:Motivated by the back-reaction debate, and~some unexplained characteristics of the CMB, we investigate the possibility of some anisotropy in the universe observed around us. To this aim, we build up a novel prediction for the Hubble law for the late universe from a Bianchi type I model, {taken as proof of concept,} transcribing the departure of such model from a $\Lambda$CDM model. We~dicussed the redshift measurement in this universe, and~finally formalized the Hubble diagram.

Abstract:We propose a new realization of axion monodromy inflation in which axion monodromy arises from torsional cycles in a type IIB compactification. A class of monomial potentials is obtained with specific values for the power index. Moreover, the inflaton mass changes profile due to the couplings between various fields after compactification. Consequently, the potential obtains a step-like profile at some critical scale. We study the cosmological implications of one concrete realization of this model. At the background level, it realizes a sufficiently long inflationary stage, which allows for the violation of the slow-roll conditions for a short period of time when the inflaton is close to the critical scale. Accordingly, the Hubble horizon is perturbed and affects the dynamics of primordial cosmological perturbations. In particular, we analyze the angular power spectrum of B-mode polarization and find a boost on very large scales. We also find that the amplitude of scalar perturbations is suppressed near the critical scale. Thus our model provides an interpretation for the low-f suppression of temperature anisotropies in the CMB power spectrum. We examine these effects and confront the model to observations.

Abstract:Within the framework of the extended Einstein–aether–axion theory, we studied the model of a two-level aetheric control over the evolution of a spatially isotropic homogeneous Universe filled with axionic dark matter. Two guiding functions are introduced, which depend on the expansion scalar of the aether flow being equal to the tripled Hubble function. The guiding function of the first type enters the aetheric effective metric, which modifies the kinetic term of the axionic system; the guiding function of the second type predetermines the structure of the potential axion field. We obtained new exact solutions to the total set of master equations in the model (with and without cosmological constant), and studied four analytically solvable submodels in detail, for which both guiding functions are reconstructed and illustrations of their behavior are presented.

Isotropic stellar model in mimetic theory

Abstract:We investigate how to derive an isotropic stellar model in the framework of mimetic gravitational theory. Recently, this theory has gained big interest due to its difference from Einstein's general relativity (GR), especially in the domain non-vacuum solutions. In this regard, we apply the field equation of mimetic gravitational theory to a spherically symmetric ansatz and obtain an over determined system of non-linear differential equations in which differential equations are less than the unknown functions. To overcome the over determined system we suppose a specific form of the temporal component of the metric potential, $g_{tt}$, and assume the vanishing of the anisotropic condition to derive the form of the spatial component of the metric, $g_{rr}$. In this regard, we discuss the possibility to derive a stellar isotropic model that is in agreement with observed pulsars. To examine the stability of the isotropic model we use the Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff equation and the adiabatic index. Furthermore, we assess the model's validity by evaluating its compatibility with a broad range of observed pulsar masses and radii. We demonstrate that the model provides a good fit to these observations.

Shear-free Anisotropic Cosmological Models in f(R) Gravity

Abstract:We study a class of shear-free, homogeneous but anisotropic cosmological models with imperfect matter sources in the context of f(R) gravity. We show that the anisotropic stresses are related to the electric part of the Weyl tensor in such a way that they balance each other. We also show that within the class of orthogonal f(R) models, small perturbations of shear are damped, and that the electric part of the Weyl tensor and the anisotropic stress tensor decay with the expansion as well as the heat flux of the curvature fluid. Specializing in locally rotationally symmetric spacetimes in orthonormal frames, we examine the late-time behaviour of the de Sitter universe in $f(R)$ gravity. For the Starobinsky model of f(R), we study the evolutionary behavior of the Universe by numerically integrating the Friedmann equation, where the initial conditions for the expansion, acceleration and jerk parameters are taken from observational data.

Anisotropic Stellar Models with Tolman IV Spacetime in Non-minimally Coupled Theory

Abstract:This article aims to investigate various anisotropic stellar models in the background of $f(\mathcal{R},\mathcal{T},\mathcal{Q})$ gravity, where $\mathcal{Q}=\mathcal{R}_{\varphi\vartheta}\mathcal{T}^{\varphi\vartheta}$. In this regard, we adopt two standard models as $\mathcal{R}+\zeta\mathcal{Q}$ and $\mathcal{R}+\zeta\mathcal{R}\mathcal{Q}$, where $\zeta$ symbolizes an arbitrary coupling parameter. We take spherical interior geometry and find solution to the modified gravitational field equations corresponding to each model by employing the `Tolman IV' spacetime. We need an additional constraint to close the system of field equations, thus the $\mathbb{MIT}$ bag model equation of state is chosen. The effects of modified theory on physical properties of six compact stars like PSR J 1614 2230,~SMC X-1,~Cen X-3,~PSR J 1903+327,~SAX J 1808.4-3658 and 4U 1820-30 are analyzed by using their respective masses and radii. We also determine the values of three unknowns involving in Tolman IV solution as well as the bag constant for each star at the hypersurface. Furthermore, various characteristics of the resulting solutions are examined through graphical interpretation for $\zeta=\pm5$. Finally, we explore the stability of the compact objects through two different approaches. We conclude that our model-I produces physically acceptable structures corresponding to each star candidate for both values of $\zeta$ whereas model-II is stable only for $\zeta=5$.

A spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type-VI cosmological model in the framework of [math] gravity has been studied by considering three different functional forms of [math] i.e. [math], [math] and [math]. The field equation of [math] gravity has been solved with the help of the Bianchi type-VI line element. The cosmological parameters of the models are evaluated, and the dynamical aspects of the model have been discussed. The result agrees with the observations of accelerated expansion of the universe.

Abstract:We consider the dynamics of a barotropic cosmological fluid in an anisotropic, Bianchi type I space-time in Eddington-inspired Born-Infeld (EiBI) gravity. By assuming an isotropic pressure distribution, we obtain the general solution of the field equations in an exact parametric form. The behavior of the geometric and thermodynamic parameters of the Bianchi type I Universe is studied, by using both analytical and numerical methods, for some classes of high density matter, described by the stiff causal, radiation, and pressureless fluid equations of state. In all cases the study of the models with different equations of state can be reduced to the integration of a highly nonlinear second order ordinary differential equation for the energy density. The time evolution of the anisotropic Bianchi type I Universe strongly depends on the initial values of the energy density and of the Hubble function. An important observational parameter, the mean anisotropy parameter is also studied in detail, and we show that for the dust filled Universe the cosmological evolution always ends into an isotropic phase, while for high density matter filled universes the isotropization of Bianchi type I universes is essentially determined by the initial conditions of the energy density.

Relativistic model of anisotropic star with Bose-Einstein density depiction in $f(T)$ gravity

Abstract:This article presents a new model for anisotropic compact stars that are confined to physical dark matter in the background of $f(T)$ teleparallel gravity. The model is based on the equation of state (EoS) of the bag model type and the Bose-Einstein dark matter density profile. The derived solutions meet the energy conditions, the causality conditions, and the required conditions on the stability factor and adiabatic index, indicating that they are physically well-behaved and represent the physical and stable matter configuration. We also determine the maximum mass, surface redshift, and compactness parameter at the surface. Interestingly, all of these numbers fall within the specified range, supporting the physical viability of our proposal. Additionally, the various masses that are derived for varying the model parameter $k$ correspond to five compact, realistic compact objects, including LMC X-4, Her X-1, 4U 1538-52, SAX J1808.4-3658, and Cen X-3. We have also illustrated the radially symmetric profiles of energy density and the moment of inertia for non-rotating stars.

Homogeneous Cosmological Models in Weyl's Geometrical Scalar-Tensor Theory

Abstract:In this paper, we consider homogeneous cosmological solutions in the context of the Weyl geometrical scalar-tensor theory. Firstly, we exhibit an anisotropic Kasner type solution taking advantage of some similarities between this theory and the Brans-Dicke theory. Next, we consider an isotropic model with a flat spatial section sourced by matter configurations described by a perfect fluid. In this model, we obtain an analytical solution for the stiff matter case. For other cases, we carry out a complete qualitative analysis theory to investigate the general behaviour of the solutions, presenting some possible scenarios. In this work, we do not consider the presence of the cosmological constant nor do we take any potential of the scalar field into account. Because of this, we do not find any solution describing the acceleration of the universe.
