Inhibitors in High Magnetic Induction Grain-Oriented Silicon Steel

Abstract:The comments and discussion on inhibitors in the process of slab reheating with high,moderate and low temperatures were conducted in consideration of production technology and the trends in development of high magnetic induction grain-oriented silicon steels.MnS and AlN are the main inhibitors for the high reheating temperature process.While AlN is the main inhibitor and MnS and Cu2S being supplementary inhibitors for the moderate reheating temperature process.AlN is considered to be the main inhibitor for low reheating temperature process,in which a limited nitrogen amount is necessary to be diffused into the strip to obtain aluminum nitride before secondary recrystallization.Nb(C,N) is likely to become a new kind of inhibitor for the low reheating temperature process.
