Abstract:An increase in the incidence of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) in women has been observed. A 50-year-old woman, not a smoker and not a drinker, was reffered to a University Hospital with a painful tongue lesion with six-month of evolution associated with cervical constriction and dysphonia. The patient had a history of lymph node enlargement around two years. Oroscopy revealed a hard nodule at the base of the tongue and a computed tomography showed an expansive solid infiltrative lesion with contrast uptake, measuring approximately 3 cm at the base of the tongue.
