Abstract:Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) represents over 90% of oral malignant neoplasms, primarily affecting the tongues of men over 50 years of age. In the case of a 78-year-old male patient, who was both an alcoholic and a smoker, the initial presentation was a painless lesion in the anterior gingival region. Over the course of a year, this lesion evolved into a painful, enlarged area that extended from the midline to the right mandibular body. An incisional biopsy was performed with a suspicion of malignancy.
