Abstract:A 38-year-old female patient, Caucasian, was referred to the stomatology clinic complaining of "pain in the tongue" and odynophagia. Anamnesis revealed smoking, alcoholism for 15 years, and arterial hypertension. On extra-oral examination, cervical lymph-nodes on the left side were palpable and hardened. Oroscopy revealed, on the posterior lateral border of the tongue on the left side, an ulcerated exophytic growth lesion, covered by pseudomembrane, with irregular edges and contours, slightly hardened on palpation, with about 1.2 cm in diameter, with approximately 2 years of evolution.
