Abstract:Gum cancer is a rare condition that typically afflicts the elderly population, often in the absence of common risk factors like smoking and alcoholism. A 69-year-old male, who is cardiopathic, hypertensive, and has a history of prostate cancer, presented with erythroleukoplakia accompanied by necrosis in the lower posterior alveolar ridge, spanning approximately 3 centimeters. The patient reported pulsating pain and local paresthesia, and the lesion was identified subsequent to the extraction of tooth 46.
