Abstract:Water hydraulic systems use water instead of oil as a pressure medium,so well keeping the water quality for long time is the foundation of making water hydraulic system run reliably.The differences between the requirements for tap water and those for water in water hydraulics were contrasted.With the help of water treatment technique,the potentially bad influence of water on water hydraulic system and the corresponding solutions were discussed in the aspects of impurity,erode,sediment,microbe and system cleaning.A recommended water quality parameter was given for water hydraulics and an example on how to clean a water hydraulic system periodically was described.

Abstract:Wind energy is a pollution free and renewable resource widely distributed over China. Aimed at protecting the environment and enlarging application of wind energy, a new approach to application of wind energy by using compressed air power to some extent instead of electricity put forward. This includes: explaining the working principles and characteristics of the wind energy-compressed air power system; discussing the compatibility of wind energy and compressor capacity; presenting the theoretical model and computational simulation of the system. The obtained compressor capacity vs wind power relationship in certain wind velocity range can be helpful in the designing of the wind power-compressed air system. Results of investigations on the application of high-pressure compressed air for pressure reduction led to conclusion that pressure reduction with, expander is better than the throttle regulator in energy saving.

Abstract:The abrasion phenomenon in the inner surface of the stator of a double acting vane pump(DAVP) is easily happened, especially in suction mineral oil area, when the pump is working. In order to solve the problem, the theoretical analysis is studied and the mathematical model is established in the paper. Therefore, the conclusions are reached as follows: the force applied on the vane of the DAVP set up along radius direction is less than that on the vane set up forward incline direction, at the same time, the abrasion of the inner surface of the stator is much smaller.

Abstract:As a representative of the fourth generation refrigerant, water has numerous advantages, such as non-pollution (ODP=0, GWP<1), accessible, low-cost, secure, stable and large latent heat of vaporization, which can completely satisfy the requirements of the environment as a refrigerant. However, low molecular weight, large specific volume and high adiabatic index of water vapor determine that the water vapor systems have the characteristics of small differential pressure, large compression ratio, small unit volume capacity, large volume flow and high discharge temperature. It also puts forward higher requirements for water vapor compressors, which seriously limit the use and promotion of water as a refrigerant. Currently, the water vapor compressors mainly are centrifugal, screw and roots compressor. Centrifugal water vapor compressor has the advantage of large volume flow rate, but it has small single stage compression ratio, high discharge temperature and droplet sensitivity. At the same time, the blade and shell material of the centrifugal water vapor compressor are severe and expensive. Therefore the centrifugal water vapor compressor is suitable for the largest volume flow rate and smallest compression ratio system. Screw water vapor compressor has the advantages of good stability, large compression ratio and wet compression; however the volume flow rate is smaller. It is more suitable for the refrigeration system with small volume flow rate and large compression ratio. Roots water vapor compressor has the advantages of less vibration components and simple structure, however it also has small compression ratio, so it is usually used in the medium heating capacity and large temperature rise systems. In order to promote water refrigerant to be wildly used in production and livelihood field, researching and developing practicable compressors for different usage occasions and steam requirements is an interesting and significant research project in future.

Abstract:Due to the growing need for the compressed air of higher quality, the water-lubricated twin-screw compressor with water as the only liquid in the compressor has drawn much attention to produce clean air absolutely free of oil. This paper presents an experimental study on the developed water-lubricated screw compressor to investigate the compressor performance under the influence of rotating speed, discharge pressure, water injection flowrate and water injection mode. The aim is to search proper operating parameters to achieve the power saving and efficiency improvement of the compressor. The results may provide some reference for the development and improvement on the water-lubricated air screw compressor in the future work.

Abstract:In extreme high temperature environment,the heat dissipation efficiency of water cooling system for converter of MW-grade wind power generators designed for normal temperature environment decreases,which will cause the converter to be overheated and to operate incorrectly.An improved cooling system with an air cooling refrigeration unit combining vapor-compressed refrigerator in series with normal water cooling system is proposed.The heat exchange between the main water cycle of the converter and the refrigeration unit is realized through a cold storage water tank and an electric three-way valve,which could satisfy the heat dissipation requirement under extreme high temperature environment.When the environment temperature is above 45 centigrade degree and the thermal load is of 82 kW,the return water temperature will be below 46 centigrade degree.The heat release of the air radiator is only half of the output under normal temperature because of the refrigeration unit.In addition,because of the closed water cycle,water and energy are conserved in the proposed water cooling system.

Abstract:Because of adopting inverter technology,too much oil would be pumped to friction surfaces in the household refrigerating compressor under the high speed condition.The excessive oil would be ejected onto the cylinder,the gas valve module,and then in-volved into the refrigeration cycle,and stay in the evaporator,leading to a decreased refrigerating efficiency of the refrigerator.In this paper,oil pump mechanism of the system was investigated,and an improved design was proposed to decrease the oil being ejected onto the cylinder and gas valve module.Calculation and analysis results showed little lubrication oil would be ejected onto the cylin-der and valve module surface by using the improved design.Research work in this paper would be benefit for development of house-hold inverter refrigerating compressor.

Abstract:According to the actual situation of external cooling water recycling system in direct current (DC) converter station, a water saving device was designed. The recycling use of external cooling water was realized by adding a counter flow cooling tower and electronic water treater for scaling. This device can decrease the discharge of external cooling water and reduce the risk for the normal operation of DC power transmission system due to disrupting of external water supply. It has good economic and social benefits and should be popularized.

Abstract:A novel process, direct water-cooling method, is introduced. It can greatly enhance the inlet pressure of rich gas compressor, reduce power consumption, increase production capacity, and improve separation effects. For an industrial unit of 1.5 Mt/y as a basic standard, simulation results indicate that the inlet pressure of rich gas compressor is increases by 50 kPa and compressor's power consumption is decreased by 11.8%, compared with the old process.

Abstract:The paper carries out a detailed summary of water-lubricated bearings from five typical aspects: the lubrication regime, the fluid-solid interaction(FSI), the thermal effect, the tribological behaviors and vibration-noise performances. For the lubrication regime, the influencing factors of lubrication regime transition, the judgement criteria and the lubrication mechanism are extracted and acquired. The methodology and the parameters that influencing the temperature rise are summarized. The generation mechanism of tribological behaviors and vibration & noise are obtained. The method of friction reduction, wear decrease, vibration alleviation and noise suppression, the judgement criteria of tribological behaviors and vibration & noise are gained. The paper systematically combs and summarizes the theories and methods of water-lubricated bearings, and points out the existing problems and technologies that need to be solved urgently. The findings can provide a distinct theoretical and methodological reference for further investigation on water-lubricated bearings.

Abstract:Through the internal cooling from evaporation of tiny water droplets during the compression process, wet compression can effectively augment the net power output of gas turbine under high ambient temperature condition. In this paper, effects of wet compression on compressor performance were theoretically and experimentally investigated on one of stages of a multistage centrifugal compressor and a new performance correction model for wet compression was proposed. This model is based on corrected similarity criterion and couples with equivalent gas properties of wet compression, droplet evaporation model and droplet dynamics loss. The results show that wet compression can increase pressure ratio and efficiency and reduce specific compression work at same pressure ratio. The effect enhances with the increase of water injection ratio and the decrease of droplet average diameter. The essence of influence on performance is the variation of equivalent isentropic exponent. For this stage, maximum pressure ratio and peak efficiency increase by 4.25% and 0.71% respectively with a water injection ratio of 2% and a droplet average diameter of 10 μm.

Water saving technology mainly includes the reasonable limit water pressure point, to avoid pressure flow; improve water supply system and reduce the invalid water; using water-saving water distribution equipment, sanitary ware; promote the use of high quality pipeline and valve; improve the status of the fire pool construction and development and promote the regeneration of water and rainwater utilization technology.

Abstract:Air compressor is an important industrial equipment to supply high pressure air for pneumatic tools and instruments. Problems of power growth and frequent overheating protection happen in summer due to the high suction air temperature. A suction pretreatment system composed of a cooling tower, a refrigerator, a circulating pump and a water–gas heat exchanger is designed in this paper. Low temperature water produced by the cooling tower and refrigerator can cool down the suction air in the water–gas heat exchanger. Mathematical models of the suction pretreatment system are established and solved using the local summer climate parameters. The influence of suction temperature and moisture content on the specific power of the compressor is discussed firstly. The percentage of power saving (PPS) is defined to analyze the system's energy saving effect which is a ratio of the saved compression power to the pretreatment system operating power. Moreover, the payback period of the proposed system is studied to guide the equipment selection. According to the results, the function of the designed suction pretreatment system is suggested to focus on the air dry bulb temperature reduction. The suction air temperature should be not lower than 26°C. Parameters of the cooling tower have great influence on both the percentage of power saving and the payback period. Optimal cooling tower parameters exist to get a maximum PPS and the smallest payback period. For an air compressor with a suction air flow of 160 m 3 /min used in the studied high temperature and humidity area, the system payback period ranges from 83 to 90 days which is acceptable for industrial application.

Abstract:The causes for the common malfunctions of the main hydraulic system of Lovat shield machines are analyzed.Technical measures to reform the main hydraulic systems of these shield machines,including the design of the hydraulic system,the calculation of the pressure loss in the hydraulic hoses,the assembly and debugging of the components of the hydraulic system after reforming,are determined.After the reform,the malfunctions of the main hydraulic system are solved and the design of the hydraulic system of the main hydraulic oil tank is improved.

Abstract:Along with the development of the high power density motor,the problem of heat dissipationis more and more noted.As a utility way,water cool has been widely studied.At present,most water jackets aredivided into two classes,one is 'Z'axial water jacket,the other is circumferential water jacket.According to the steps of water jacket design,this paper made a comprehensive comparison about performance of the tow water jackets through a detailed calculation.Based on the analysis of the two water jackets about advantages and disadvantages,this paper considered the heat dissipationresult of water jacket and influence to external radiator and pump.At the same time,this paper gave selection method of water jacket based on thelength-diameter ratio.It will be of great help,when this method is appliedin actual engineering motor water jacketdesign.
