Abstract:In recent years,the fast development of industry led more environmental pollution in China,and the atmospheric pollution was the type that had the broadest impaction and the most immediate and inevitable damage to human beings.According to the meteorological environment overview of the harbor industrial zone and under the EIA guidelines,selecting the corresponding dispersion model and proper parameters,the text investigated the engineering project of One New Zinc Smelting Plant in Xiangtan County,forecasting contribution to the pollutants concentration under fumigation dispersion models after the plant operations.We took the results to analyze NH3 which had serious influence on residents of 2 kilometres away.The dust,SO2 and flume were mainly manifested in the 100 meters around the harbor industrial zone of impact on the pollutants abnomaly emissions at smoking dispersion model.Obviously,the research of atmospheric environmental influencing forecast and assessment of the harbor industrial zone had a positive theoretical and realistic significance.

Abstract:In view of troublesome problems influencing upon the safety of lowgrade bituminous coal firing boilers with hot air for sending pulverized coal and centralized allocatioin of the primary air, such as firecarrying in the primary air jet orifice, and slagging on the waterwall in zone of burners etc., occured after enhancement of volatile and heat value in the coal, a scheme for solving the said problems by admixing exhaust gas has been put forward. The results of design calculation combined with typical boilers, as well as test and study on the admixer of exhaust gas and hot air show that the exhaust gas can be admixed with hot air in a large proportional range, making the implementation of the said scheme to be possible.

Abstract:In this paper,the three-dimensional model contained foundry technical information is created by Pro/E software,and then the numerical simulation of solidification process is carried out based on MAGMAsoft,so that the verification and optimization of technical design can be achieved. According to the simulation results,the reasons of casting defects can be found,and by modifying the processing parameters,the process can be optimized and improved. Finally,a reasonable technology program can be brought forward.

Abstract:The Eleventh Five-Year Plan of the Central Government specially cited the importance of energy saving and environmental conservation technologies in supporting the industry structure upgrade and building up an efficient circular economy.Industrial wastes are the inevitable byproduct from production,the quantity of wastes will be escalated with the further expansion of the manufacturing scale.The establishment of a wastes management System and Corperate Cultrue is required for the recovery of industrial wastes to valuable manufacturing resources through the use of appropirate technolgies.This article is based on the field studies conducted on Jiangsu Yang Li Group and the research study on the global trench in addressing the solid wastes management and recovery strategy issue for the metal cutting industry from the aspects of technology and economy.It is further illustrated with the case of Yang Li in recovering the real value of solid wastes through internal recycling.

Abstract:Industrial production creates material conditions for mankind, but also seriously pollutes the environment. In order to avoid pollution damage to the atmosphere, water, sound, and other environments, environmental impact assessments must be carried out before the project starts, and possible environmental pollution factors must be analyzed and predicted in advance. Company A, a manufacturer of mechanical parts, plans to build a new surface treatment production line, including two production links: anodizing and painting. The product coefficient method and the material balance method were used to evaluate and analyze the environmental pollution factors such as waste gas, wastewater, noise, solid waste, and discarded bath solution discharged during the operation period of the production line. The evaluation results show that after chromium mist recovery, spraying, filtration, and activated carbon adsorption and other measures are concentrated treatment, the concentration of various exhaust gas discharged in an organized manner is lower than the standard limit; various wastewater can be recycled after being filtered by ion exchange resin and activated carbon use, a very small amount of concentrated liquid needs to be handled by an external professional unit, and a cofferdam is installed under the production line and the ground is strengthened to prevent leakage, which will not pollute the groundwater environment; the noise level on the four plant boundaries during the operation of the production line meets the noise standard. No noise pollution will be generated; solid waste and discarded bath solutions are centrally stored by the enterprise and entrusted to an external professional unit for processing, and no other pollution will be generated.

Abstract:Numerical simulation software for foundry process is too expensive for small and medium enterprises of foundry, which resulted in the failure of CAE technology in helping enterprises to improve the quality of casting so as to meet the international standards. The development program which established a CAE technology platform based on B/S in foundry industry for public service was achieved and applied. The practice proves that the platform based on network technology, and combined with MAGMAsoft which is a numerical simulation software for foundry process, can offer long-range CAE technology service for small and medium enterprises of foundry, and help enterprises analyse defect, improve the design and productivity, also lower the cost of using CAE technology and casting production.

Abstract:The heat transfer and thermal strainstress evolution during the mold filling,solidification and cooling stage of the twinband mill house casting in Maanshan Iron and Steel Corporation have been simulated and analyzed using FTStar and IDEAS softwares,and the foundry technology has been designed and optimized for the practice. The results obtained show that the position and dimension of the risers and chills can be decided so as to control the solidification pattern and to assure the quality of casting by utilizing the foundry technology software. Further more, the disabilities such as insufficient melting capacity in the plant can be remedied with the assistance of the computer aided foundry technology. The study gives a referential example for the curbstone foundry enterprises to produce the large scale castings such as mill house.

Abstract:In this study, an integrated water and waste load allocation model is proposed to assist decision makers in better understanding the trade-offs between economic growth, resource utilization, and environmental protection of coal chemical industries which characteristically have high water consumption and pollution. In the decision framework, decision makers in a same park, each of whom have different goals and preferences, work together to seek a collective benefit. Similar to a Stackelberg-Nash game, the proposed approach illuminates the decision making interrelationships and involves in the conflict coordination between the park authority and the individual coal chemical company stockholders. In the proposed method, to response to climate change and other uncertainties, a risk assessment tool, Conditional Value-at-Risk (CVaR) and uncertainties through reflecting parameters and coefficients using probability and fuzzy set theory are integrated in the modeling process. Then a case study from Yuheng coal chemical park is presented to demonstrate the practicality and efficiency of the optimization model. To reasonable search the potential consequences of different responses to water and waste load allocation strategies, a number of scenario results considering environmental uncertainty and decision maker' attitudes are examined to explore the tradeoffs between economic development and environmental protection and decision makers' objectives. The results are helpful for decision/police makers to adjust current strategies adapting for current changes. Based on the scenario analyses and discussion, some propositions and operational policies are given and sensitive adaptation strategies are presented to support the efficient, balanced and sustainable development of coal chemical industrial parks.

Abstract:Many years of foundry practice and much more accurate analytical methods have shown that sands with organic binders, in addition to their many technological advantages, pose risks associated with the emission of many compounds, including harmful ones (e.g., formaldehyde, phenol, benzene, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and sulfur), arising during the pouring of liquid casting alloys into molds, their cooling, and knock-out. The aim of this research is to demonstrate the potential benefits of adopting inorganic binders in European iron foundries. This will improve the environmental and working conditions by introducing cleaner and more ecological production methods, while also ranking the tested binders studied in terms of their harmful content. The article pays special attention to the analysis of seven innovative inorganic binders and one organic binder, acting as a reference for emissions of gases from the BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes) and PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) groups and other compounds such as phenol, formaldehyde, and isocyanates (MDI and TDI) generated during the mold pouring process with liquid metals. The knowledge gained will, for the first time, enrich the database needed to update the Reference Document on The Best Available Techniques for the Smitheries and Foundries Industry (SF BREF).

Abstract:The energy consumption by sintering amounts to about 13% of the overall energy consumption of the steel works,and the emissions of sulfur is the main pollution index of sintering production.A reduction of solid fuel for sintering by 0.5!,a dust content in the emitted gas < 12 mg / m 3,and a sulfur emission < 90 mg/m 3 were attainable for the 400 m 2 sintering machine by improving the fuel performance,stabilizing the equipment operation,and enhancing the dust-and sulfur-removing capacity.Good energy-saving and discharge-reduction effects thus resulted.

Abstract:This paper takes the iron-making blast furnace in operation of a steel plant as the specific object, analyzes the erosion status and characteristics of different parts of the furnace hearth and bottom combined with iron-making process and erosion mechanism of the blast furnace, designs an intelligent monitoring system for erosion of the furnace hearth lining, visualizes the temperature measurement data. The erosion calculation model is established by using the heat transfer mechanism to quickly solve the erosion boundary for the area with low erosion degree and rate, and performs a fast solution of the erosion boundary. For areas with high erosion degree and rate, the particle swarm optimization algorithm is selected by using its adaptive characteristics. It solves the erosion boundary accurately from the rough solution of the mechanism model, and the residual thickness of furnace lining is output and displayed, which helps ironmakers optimize the blast furnace production operation, maintenance strategy, improve production efficiency and reduce energy consumption.

Abstract:The coordinated optimization of energy conservation, efficiency improvement, and pollution reduction in the sintering production process is vital for the efficient and sustainable development of the sintering department. However, previous studies have shown shortcomings in the multi-objective collaborative optimization of sintering systems and the quantification of pollutant impacts. To address these, this paper proposes a multi-objective optimization method integrated with the NSGA-III algorithm and establishes an integrated system optimization model for sintered ore production and high-temperature waste heat recovery. The results demonstrate significant improvements: energy utilization efficiency increased by 0.67%, energy consumption decreased by 17.3 MJ/t, production costs were reduced by 11.45 CNY/t, and the emissions of CO2, SO2, and NOx were reduced by 0.464 kg/t, 0.034 kg/t, and 0.008 kg/t, respectively. Additionally, the study identified optimal configuration parameters and analyzed the quantitative impact of several key factors on multiple indicators. The results also show that reducing the water content of the mixture, decreasing the middling coal content in the fuel, and increasing the thickness of the material layer are effective strategies to reduce energy consumption and pollutant emissions in the sintering process. Overall, implementing these optimizations can bring significant economic and environmental benefits to the steel industry.
