Abstract:A dynamic current method used to measure pyroelectric coefficient (p) for pyroelectric material is described in detail in this paper. The hardware part of the system includes pre-converting circuit, post amplifier circuit, wave-filter circuit, analog-to-digital conversion circuit, temperature test circuit and LCD display panel circuit. The maximum magnification time of amplifier circuit of system is 11300 and the band-stop frequency center for wave-filter circuit is 50 Hz and it's second harmonics 100 Hz. Finally, the measurement system is used to test p parameter of LiTaO3 crystal slice. The lowest p parameter of LiTaO3 crystal with a value of 6.08x10(-9) C/cm(2) degrees C is achieved at 32.5 degrees C.

Abstract:Theory calculations and experiments of dynamic method for induced pyroelectric coefficient were extensively described.For conventional pyroelectric——LiTaO_3 single crystal chips,the pyroelectric voltage was π/2 radians out of phase with the temperature wave,and the pyroelectric coefficient was 2.1×10~(-8) C cm~(-2) K~(-1),which suggest our measurement is accrue and credible.For conventional pyroelectric——(Ba_(0.65)Sr_(0.35)) TiO_3 thin films biased 1.5v voltage,the output voltage was combined a DC voltage with an AC voltage;the former was caused by leakage current through (Ba_(0.65)Sr_(0.35)) TiO_3 thin films,and the later was pyroelectric voltage.The pyroelectric voltage kept the same phase with temperature wave,and its amplitude was directly proportional to that of temperature wave. Theory calculations indicate that the change of dynamic measurements of pyroelectric materials,pyroelectric response to the same voltage and temperature signals from the phase change is the transformation of pyroelectric materials caused by the change of capacitance with temperature signal.

Abstract:The phase shift between a pyroclectric voltage and a temperature oscillation wave in the measurement of induce pyroelectric coefficient using dynamic method is studied. Experiment results show that there is a 90 degrees phase shift between a pyroelectric voltage and a temperature wave for intrinsic pyroelectrics, while there is no phase shift for induced pyroelectrics. Theory calculations are developed based on AC and DC equivalent circuit to elucidate the phenomena. It has been Suggested that different phase shifts are attributed to the capacitance dependence on the temperature of specimens.

Abstract:Combining the characteristics of semi-artificial thermocouple method and artificial thermocouple method,a new method of measuring cutting temperature is presented and named dynamic artificial thermocouple method.This method has the advantages of artificial thermocouple method without secondary calibration and cutting temperature of insulator can be measured,and it has the advantaget of semi-artificial thermocouple method that cutting temperature in cutting zone can be measured directly.By comparing temperatures in cutting zone during the process of milling aluminum panels measured by the new method and semi-artificial thermocouple method separately under same machining conditions,the measure accuracy of the new method is verified.The experiment demonstrates that the temperature measurements by using dynamic artificial thermocouple method are closed to those results by using semi-artificial thermocouple method.For thermocouple potential,the mean absolute percentage error is less than 2.5 ％ and the standard deviation is less than 0.9 mV.For temperature values,the mean absolute percentage error is less than 3％ and the standard deviation is less than 14 ℃.Furthermore,temperature variation in the cutting zone of epoxy resin is measured by using dynamic artificial thermocouple method and it is proved that this method can be used to measure cutting temperature in the cutting zone of insulator effectively.

Abstract:Theoretical dynamic analysis is developed for a composite hollow sphere constructed of elastic and pyroelectric layers subjected to spherically symmetric thermal loads. By introducing an unknown time function in terms of the charge equation of electrostatics for the pyroelectric layer, the solution for the mechanical field, in which the unknown time function is involved, is obtained directly in the time domain by the method of superposition, state space method as well as the separation of variables method. By employing the prescribed electric potential boundary conditions, the unknown time function is finally determined by solving a second kind Volterra integral equation. The transient responses for uniformly heated steel/CdSe composite hollow sphere are presented.

Abstract:A new dynamical temperature monitoring system for high-speed cutting based on thin-film thermocouples was developed.NiCr/NiSi thin-film thermocouples were deposited on the rake faces of Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitride(PCBN)high-speed cutting tools by magnetron sputtering,light etching and PECVD methods.The preparing process of the thin-film temperature sensosr was elaborated.The data acquisiton and monitoring system for the cutting temperature and cutting force was designed.The data were acquired by a high-speed sampling card PCI-9118 and analyzed through a simple,friendly human-machine interface.The software was programmed by VC++ language combined with Tchart control buttons.The experiments show that the data acquisiton and monitoring system is easy to use,flexible and reliable.

Abstract:A heat conduction model for the multilayer pyroelectric detector was given, and its corresponding one-dimensional heat conduction equation was solved with the matrix method. The dynamic pyroelectric response of the detector to a sinusoidally modulated radiation was represented by matrices, and the influence of a thermal insulating layer on the improvement of the responsivity of the detector was discussed with the results of matrix analysis, on this basis, the requirements to the thermal insulating layer were then deduced. Besides, the influences of the parameters of each layer in the multilayer detector on the performance of the detector were also discussed.

Abstract:An automatic count system of expressway vehicle with the detecting unit of pyroelectric infrared trans ducer is introduced. The infrared automatic control system in the following design uses a new type thermoelectric infrared transducer as scanner, sensing outside information, and also transfering it into tender electronic signals, which will be magnified via arithmetic compidier, and contrasted by twin-limited contrast unit. At this time interference in the signals will be sifted by anti-interference circuit. And then the remaining signals are used to drive the counter to count. This system is really featured by reliable, high sensibility, low error operating rate, simple structure and so on.

Abstract:Photoelectric measurement based on blackbody radiation is adopted in the blackbody cavity photoelectric pyrometer. With high precision and low cost, the pyrometer can replace the expensive noble metal thermocouple in many infields. The operation principle, hardware circuits and software flow chart are described. And the MSC1211 microcontroller is used as signal processing unit, so that the pyrometer shows the advantages of high accuracy, high reliability and easy operation owing to the multiform output signal.

Abstract:A non-contact photoelectricity rotation axis measurement system based on PSD and laser triangulation was developed.This article introduced the principle and setup of the system.Some experiments were carried out to measure the rotational speed and the degree of eccentricity.The results showed that this system could measure accurately not only the rotational speed,but also the degree of eccentricity with theoretical resolution up to 14μm.The relative error was less than 5 percent.This system has advantages of compact structure,accurate detection,and high reliability,and can realize in-situ and real-time measurement.

Abstract:A type of single wavelength pyrometer used for temperature measurement of solid surface was improved and employed to measure the dynamic temperatures of flames.Three experiments were designed to check the feasibility of the pyrometer in this paper,namely the temperature measurement of layered flames of the black powder and the thermit,the comparison experiments of the single wavelength pyrometer and the thermocouple,and the dynamic temperature measurement of hydrogen-oxygen explosion in the shock tube.The results indicated that the measured temperature could be regarded as the highest temperature on the ray axis of the pyrometer when the size of the target was much larger than the field of view of the pyrometer;the measured values of the lighting flame by pyrometer and thermocouple were close,and the measurement error was less than 6.2%;the dynamic temperature curves of hydrogen-oxygen explosion measured by the pyrometer accord with the propagation laws of explosive flame well.It can be concluded that the improved single wavelength pyrometer can be used to measure the lighting flame's dynamic temperature.

Abstract:The measurement performance of a CCD-based pyrometer system using a three-color method was evaluated for scientific and engineering metrology. The relationships between the system parameters (exposure time and sensor gain) and the intensity measurements in an integrating sphere experiment were determined for a specific CCD sensor. The pyrometer system uses the three-color method based on the intensity ratio without geometry calibrations. The field measurement characteristics and the effectiveness of coupling the three-color channels were investigated in terms of the temperature measurement uniformity, temperature sensitivity and temperature range of the pyrometer system in standard blackbody tests. The results showed that the temperature non-uniformity is not proportional to the intensity non-uniformity and is in the range of 0.13–2.14%. The relative temperature sensitivities of intensity ratios for different channel combinations are different, which may provide a way to improve the measurement results. The temperature range bandwidth for object with a non-uniform temperature distribution varies from 190 to 270K for this specific CCD-based pyrometer. The performance evaluation conclusions for the system with this specific CCD sensor are general and applicable for pyrometer systems using other CCD sensors.

Abstract:In power system , the temperature monitoring of high-voltage power equipment during operation is an impor-tant measure to ensure the stability and security of power supply .In this paper , the passive wireless temperature meas-urement system for high-voltage power equipment is designed and implemented .The system measures temperature by the method of divided voltage of platinum resistance , and supplied by thermoelectric generation based on the Seebeck effect, and the data is transferred by infrared light .The hardware and software of temperature measurement is accom-plished in the principle of low-power consumption .Finally, the experiment of temperature data acquisition , system start-up time and receiving distance is carried out , and results show that the system can realize self-starting and cycli-cal temperature measurement .

Abstract:According to the temperature measurement requirements for the ceramic kiln, an automatic temperature measurement system is developed using wireless communication technology. It overcomes the disadvantages of wired measurement system, such as complicated wiring and difficult maintenance. The hardware and software of the measurement system are discussed in detail. The temperature measured by the thermocouple inside ceramic kilns is transmitted to the PC by transceiver controlled by microcontroller, and the temperature data is managed by PC. The experimental results show that the system fully comply with design requirements. The system consist of the following features that is in simple structure, reliable performance, wireless transmission. It is suitable especially for the fields where the laying of cables is inconvenient. It has greater practical value.

Abstract:The principles and structures of the pyroelectric sensor and the photosensitive sensor, as well as their application in commercial office building were introduced. Aiming at the two sensors’ characteristics, a lighting control strategy of typical office was made. Finally, the important role of the intelligent lighting control system in the building management was introduced. It was concluded that pyroelectric sensor and photosensitive sensor could improve the level of intelligent lighting control and save energy in practical use.
