In particular, different from the previous results on the local case, we infer that the weak solution maintains $\frac{1}{2}$-Hölder continuity in time.

Abstract:In this study, we investigate a mixed problem linked to a second-order parabolic equation, characterized by temporal dependencies and variable~coefficients, and constrained by non-local, non-self-adjoint boundary conditions. By defining precise conditions on the input data, we establish the unique solvability of the problem through a synthesis of the residue and contour integral methods. Moreover, our research yields an explicit analytical solution, facilitating the direct resolution of the stated problem.

They apply the method of parabolic regularization and Galerkin's method to prove the existence of solutions to the mentioned problem and then prove the uniqueness of the weak solution by arguing by contradiction. Abstract:We study positive solutions of an equation with singular nonlinearities. The equation arises in the study of equilibrium states of thin films. Under weak assumptions on the nonlinearity, we show that for N >= 3 there exists a family of radial solutions {u(alpha)}(alpha>0) with u(alpha)(0) = alpha and each of them is oscillatory in ( 0, infinity). We obtain then a singular radial solution in ( 0, infinity) by taking the limit alpha --> 0. Meanwhile, using the solutions obtained in ( 0, infinity), we show some existence results for the corresponding Neumann eigenvalue problem on a ball.

Abstract:In this paper, we give the existence and uniqueness of the strong solution of one dimensional linear parabolic equation with mixed boundary conditions. The boundary conditions can be any kind of mixed Dirichlet, Neumann and Robin boundary conditions. We use the extension method to get the unique solution. Furthermore, the method can also be easily implemented as a numerical method. Some simple examples are presented.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions of a nonlinear elliptic equation with a variable exponent, a monotonic type operator and a convection term. With the topological degree theory, we prove the existence of at least one weak solution under some Leray-Lions and growth conditions. Moreover, we obtain the uniqueness of the solution of the problem under some additional assumptions. Our results generalize and improve existing results with another approach.

Abstract:We investigate the quantitative uniqueness of solutions to parabolic equations with lower order terms on compact smooth manifolds. Quantitative uniqueness is a quantitative form of strong unique continuation property. We characterize quantitative uniqueness by the rate of vanishing. We can obtain the vanishing order of solutions by $C^{1, 1}$ norm of the potential functions, as well as the $L^\infty$ norm of the coefficient functions. Some quantitative Carleman estimates and three cylinder inequalities are established.
