Abstract:In this paper, we describe several stationary conditions on weak solutions to the inhomogeneous Landau-Lifshitz equation, which ensure the partial regularity. For certain class of proper stationary weak solutions, a compactness result of the solutions, a finite Hausdorff measure result of the t -slice energy concentration sets and an asymptotic limit result of the Radon measures are proved. We also present a subtle rectifiability result for the energy concentration set of certain sequence of strong stationary weak solutions.

The boundary conditions can be any kind of mixed Dirichlet, Neumann and Robin boundary conditions. We use the extension method to get the unique solution. Abstract:We study the uniqueness of weak solution in Lloc∞([0,+∞);L2(R1)) for initial value problem of Chern–Simons–Dirac equations. We first derive the equations for the difference between two weak solutions and establish the existence of the solution to initial value problem to its adjoint system. Then we apply Holmgren's method to prove that the weak solution in Lloc∞([0,+∞);L2(R1)) to initial value problem of Chern–Simons–Dirac equations is unique.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with an initial-boundary value problem of the two-dimensional inhomogeneous primitive equations with density-dependent viscosity. Abstract:We study positive solutions of an equation with singular nonlinearities. The equation arises in the study of equilibrium states of thin films. Under weak assumptions on the nonlinearity, we show that for N >= 3 there exists a family of radial solutions {u(alpha)}(alpha>0) with u(alpha)(0) = alpha and each of them is oscillatory in ( 0, infinity). We obtain then a singular radial solution in ( 0, infinity) by taking the limit alpha --> 0. Meanwhile, using the solutions obtained in ( 0, infinity), we show some existence results for the corresponding Neumann eigenvalue problem on a ball.

Abstract:We prove existence of martingale solutions to a class of stochastic thin-film equations for mobility exponents $n \in (2,3)$ and compactly supported initial data. With the perspective to study free-boundary problems related to stochastic thin-film equations in future work, we start from the surface-tension driven stochastic thin-film equation with Stratonovich noise and exploit the regime of coefficients in front of the Stratonovich correction term (which is of porous-media-type) for which energy dissipation can be established. By Bernis inequalities, third order spatial derivatives of appropriate powers of the solution are controlled. Analytically, we rely on approximation with $\mathbb{P}$-almost surely strictly positive solutions and compactness methods based on energy-entropy estimates as well as martingale identification techniques.

Abstract:For mobility exponents $n \in (2,3)$, we prove existence of strictly positive solutions to stochastic thin-film equations with singular effective interface potential and Stratonovich-type lower-order terms. With the perspective of using these solutions in Part II to construct surface-tension-energy dissipating solutions to stochastic thin-film equations with compactly supported initial data, for which finite speed of propagation is shown in future work, we establish decay estimates on the sum of surface-tension energy and effective interface potential -- without relying on further functionals involving initial data. Besides an extension of earlier techniques used in the case $n=2$ and a refinement of oscillation estimates for discrete solutions, the main analytical novelty of this paper is a discretization method which shows nonnegativity for a finite-element counterpart of the integral $\int_{\mathcal O} (u^{n-2}u_{x})_x u_{xx} dx$ under periodic boundary conditions in the parameter regime $n \in (2,3)$. This nonnegativity property serves to control Itô-correction terms in the estimate for the decay of the surface-tension energy. This way, it is the key to obtain the desired decay estimates for the sum of surface-tension energy and effective interface potential which permit to establish the singular limit of vanishing effective interface potential in Part II.

Abstract:We consider a class of parabolic nonlocal $1$-Laplacian equation \begin{align*} u_t+(-\Delta)^s_1u=f \quad \text{ in }\Omega\times(0,T]. \end{align*} By employing the Rothe time-discretization method, we establish the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions to the equation above. In particular, different from the previous results on the local case, we infer that the weak solution maintains $\frac{1}{2}$-Hölder continuity in time.

We continue our study on the global solution to the two-dimensional Prandtl's system for unsteady boundary layers in the class considered by Oleinik, provided that the pressure is favorable. First, by using a different method from [Z. Xin and L. Zhang, Adv. Math., 181 (2004), pp. 88–133], we gave a direct proof of existence of a global weak solution by a direct BV estimate. Then we prove the uniqueness and continuous dependence on data of such a weak solution to the initial boundary value problem. Finally, we show the smoothness of the weak solutions and then the global existence of smooth solutions.
