Preparation and Research on Silicone Liquid Optical Clear Adhesives

Abstract:An additional silicone liquid optical clear adhesive ( LOCA ) used for full lamination in touch panel fields was prepared by poly( methyl vinyl siloxane) as the base silicone oil, hydrogen-containing sili-cone oil as a crosslinking agent, silicone oligomer containing epoxy group and allyl ether as an adhesion pro-moter and vinyl substituted silsesquioxane as a flame retardant. Results show that when the viscosity of the po-ly(methyl vinyl siloxane) is 1000~5000 mPa·s, the molar ratio of Si-H/Si-Vi is 0. 8, the amount of adhe-sion promoter is 1. 0% and the amount of flame retardant is 1. 5%, the silicone gel can achieve excellent properties, whose transmittance is higher than 98% and its flame-retardant grade reaches HB, it can also re-alize cohesive failure after bonding with PMMA, PC, PET and glass, which are suitable for full lamination in the fields of touch panel.
