Abstract:For a class of multivariable systems, the tuning of PID controller parameters is discussed in this paper. Based on the idea of GPC and the relation between gGPC and PID controllers, a new tuning algorithm of PID controller parameters for discrete multivariable systems is presented. The optimal index induces the weighting term on the square of error between the predicted process steady-state value and the desired-state value. The PID controller parameters are calculated recursively based on the relationship between the gGPC and PID control laws. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract:The analysis of stability,robustness and tracking performance for PFC control system are studied in this paper, and the adjustment methods of the PFC control law parameters are also discussed. Abstract:A PID controller based on CMAC is applied to AC Speedregulation system of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM),which takes place of the controller of speed control of PMSM control system with double loop.The experiment results show the system used this method has quick respond,small overshoot and good robustness,and the system is superior to the traditional PI controller in dynamic and static performance.

Abstract:Aiming at serious problems of controlling packing pressure in injection molding processes with traditional PID algorithm, such as pressure overshoot,static error,time delay etc.,a mathematical model of the packing pressure system in injection process was established.Considering the behaviors of system,a new control device with CMAC and PID compound controller was designed. The experimental results show that,compared to traditional PID control, CMAC and PID compound control improves the pressure overshoot,static error and time delay of the packing pressure significantly,and makes notable progresses on quality and repeatability of products.

Abstract:This paper analyzes the PID and the Bang-Bang control methods. To compare the performance of these traditional algorithms, the speed control of a brushless DC drive system is implemented in real-time, using these two methods. The parameters in the controller can be adjusted by the hardware and the software to achieve the optimum performance of the closed-loop system. The experiment results proved that these two controllers have their own merit and defect according to the different steady-state performance and dynamic response respectively. It is concluded that the PID and the Bang-Bang controllers could be used in different applications.

Abstract:Model predictive control (MPC) is known for its good dynamic performance, but the parameter mismatch issue has long been concerned. In order to help evaluating and improving the control performance of MPC, a comprehensive knowledge of the side-effects of a variety of possible parameter mismatches on different MPC types is highly required. In this paper, three main MPC types, i.e. the continuous-control-set MPC (CCS-MPC), the finite-control-set MPC (FCS-MPC), and the generalized predictive control (GPC), are considered for the permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) drive. Three types of parameter mismatch are considered, i.e. mismatches of the stator resistance, stator inductance, and permanent magnet flux linkage. Their side-effects, including the steady-state control errors and the stability issues, on all the three MPC types are theoretically analyzed and compared. Simulation results are provided to validate the correctness of the comparison study.

Abstract:Multirate multivariable predictive control system with the sampling mechanism that adjusts the plant inputs only once but detects the plant outputs several times during a period is examined. The IMC structure of the system is derived, and its robust stability and zero steady state error characteristics are analyzed. A new control algorithm is developed by adding the variation of the outputs to the index performance. The simulation results show that the method is effective and has zeros steady-state error.

Abstract:Being aimed at the asymmetric pneumatic cylinder, a new type of pneumatic drive circuit is designed. The generalized pulse code modulation (GPCM) pneumatic control system is used for improving performances of the system. In addition, in stead of establishing a nonlinear mathematical model of pneumatic GPCM servo system, system identification by the recursive least square method is applied to find its mathematical model, then a self-tuning controller with the pole-placement approach is designed. In the end, experiments are run in detail. The results show that the GPCM pneumatic servo system is better than the PCM, the self-tuning controller is better than the conventional PID and they are effective in achieving a desired positioning and following accuracy.

Abstract:A control method of linear acceleration and deceleration on step motor was introduced in this paper. The main idea was to judge the deceleration district according to the residual length of the line segment. This method reduced machining time greatly and increased cutting efficiency availably. It also had the characteristic of intelligent control. The method had been applied and confirmed in the NC system successfully.

Abstract:Aerial work platform leveling system is a complicated nonlinear system working under very complex conditions and suffering from much interference.The integrated CMAC(Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller) and PID(Proportion,Integral,and Derivative) control strategy based on disturbance observer and RC(Resistance Capacitance) low-pass filter was presented.For a certain 54m aerial work platform electro-hydraulic proportional leveling system,the AMESim(Advanced Modeling Environment for Performing Simulations of Engineering Systems) was taken as the main simulation environment;the controller model was imported into AMESim by software interfaces.Simulation results show that compared with the CMAC and traditional PID combined control method and PID control,the modified combined controller has better adaptability and higher robustness for mathematic model change or system load disturbance.In addition,the controller can well track the given signal at any phase.

Abstract:For the flexible track automatic drilling machine, which is used to drill on the skin of fuselage or wings of a plain, a kind of design of the control system is proposed. It is an open NC system based on PMAC motion control card. According to the feature and requirement of the flexible-track drilling, the framework, hardware, software and a code generation method in the machine coordinate system are researched and analyzed. Practical experiments show that the control system realizes the designed functions of the machine, which can now drill a group of holes with high quality.

Abstract:A full closed loop control is adopted based on PMAC(programmable multi-axis controller), making the system a good dynamic performance, achieving a micro-displacement of 50nm and limiting the fluctuation of the rate of speed around 1%, which proves the high performance of the system both in high accuracy and low speed stability.A machining experiment is done on an ultra-precision machine driven by the feed control system, achieving a surface roughness of Ra3.3nm at the feed speed of 20μm/s, which proves that this system is fit for the feed control of ultra-precision machine.

Abstract:Control performance monitoring and assessment (CPM/A) plays great role in ensuring process working safely and efficiently. However, for a control system, the importance of the performance indicators is with different degree but in conflict,e.g. maintaining the operating point on the borderline is contradict with the aim of safety. In this work, a priority strategy for CPM/A system is presented, which monitoring and accessing the control system rank by rank so as to monitor the key variances relevant with safety in particular. A prioritized CPM/A system in multi-variable Model Predictive Control (MPC) systemis developed for FCCU reactor-regenerator system and shows its advantages.

Abstract:Considering the multi-variable, nonlinearity, time lag and time variation characters of air conditioning systems, it is difficult for traditional Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control to get good control performance.A compound control strategy based on cerebellar model articulation controller (CMAC) and PID controller is used to the system. Obtained results show that the compound control algorithm can improve the precision of control, the speed of responding, and has better dynamic and steady-state characteristics.

Abstract:In order to track performance of high precise water loading system,a compound controller based on Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller(CMAC) Neural network and PID is presented,which adopts the dynamic errors and the desired values of the controlled plants for the input vectors of CMAC.This controller absorbs simple structure,fast-convergence and part learning advantages of CMAC to enhance traditional controller.The simulation results in MATLAB show that the proposed controller can get better control results than the simple PID controller.It is proved that the compound controller is effective and valid,it has robustness against the parameters variation and external disturbance and can be used to track desired values.
