Abstract:With the development of soccer robots, application of embedded real-time operating system (RTOS) in the control system of robots is attracting more and more considerable attention for meeting the increased requirements of complexity and real time. A control system of intelligent robocup was developed, which was based on the embedded RTOS of MicroC/OS-II and the digital signal processing (DSP) chip of TMS320F2407. It adopted the control algorithm of PPLID available in the literature. This control system is superior in computation, control and real-time performance.

Abstract:Taking advantages of the modular nature of Linux, a set of Linux modules were improved to make Linux run on various SoC. The module improvement was including: developing a target-specific bootloader, designing a memory management module for the MMU-less processor, real-time improvement in scheduling module and organizing a small footprint file system for the flash memory. These modules can be reassembled on demands, catering for different boards and applications. Moreover, methods for developing embedded Linux are concluded, including tool chains and debug techniques. Case studies on two hardware platforms, based on ARM720T and M68K respectively, shown that the work satisfies application requirements.

Abstract:The software of artificial organ is more and more complex, but it lacks real-time operating system to manage and schedule its resources. In this paper, we propose a lightweight real-time operating system (RTOS) Cyborgan OS based on the SmartOSEK OS. Cyborgan OS optimizes and improves it from the code size, context switch, low power consumption, and partial dynamic update, making it suitable for the artificial organ control system. Finally, we use the heart blood pump model to analyze the task allocation and execution sequence as well as the code size of the whole program. In this application, the maximum space occupied by the code is only 15 kB, which is suitable for most microcontrollers.

Abstract:Most of embedded multiprocessor platforms are ideal for running diverse operating systems and implementing different applications. Inter-processor communication interface makes it possible for an embedded multi-processor system to easily support multiple subsystems parallel processing. This paper propose a kind of OS-level communication interface implementing method based-on HPI in the Complementary Multi-processor System and present the primary principles and corresponding DSP side code structure for HPI.
