Abstract:Single-phase high-resistance grounding fault is very typical in resonant grounding distribution network, while the fault detection and line selection in field application is not an easy task for traditional methods since both the type of state parameter and the data amount is not sufficient. To overcome such limitations, this paper proposes an approach which reconstruction the initial criterion of fault occurrence and fault line selection criterion. Firstly, a method combining 15% traditional phase voltage with the sum of zero-sequence voltage gradient is proposed as the initial criterion of fault occurrence to improve the speed of line selection device. After that, the transient process of high-resistance grounding of a resonant grounding system is analyzed according to the difference in impedance characteristics between the high and the low-frequency lines, and the line selection criterion is constructed according to the correlation difference between the current and voltage derivative waveforms on high- and low-frequency lines. Finally, the adaptability of the proposed method is verified through simulation. The results show that the proposed method can deal with high-resistance grounding fault in complex fault conditions, and can also meet the speed requirements of line selection.
