Abstract:The pulsed laser ranging measurement is an advanced and universal test method.This paper introduces the design and implementation of embedded signal processing system based on pulse laser ranging technology.It mainly discusses the design of the circuit based on the variable gain amplifier and the high speed A/D converter.The hardware and the software of the signal processing system are also presented.It realizes a high accuracy time interval measurement.Here develop an embedded measuring instrument based on the pulsed laser ranging design,as well as good performances and high precision laser range finding.The design is especially suit for volume-produce and low-cost requirements.
Intelligent Measuring System for Performance Parameters of Laser Range Finder

Abstract:In order to measure the performance parameters of laser range finders, a new intelligent measuring system is developed, which introduces advanced control technologies, very quick and convenient WIN32 computer software and a skillfully designed beam splitter system. It can synchronously measure optical axis consistency, width and energy of the pulse, beam divergence angle, and so on. A 1296×1030 CCD is adopted in order to ensure 10″ of spatial resolving ability; A 350MHz oscilloscope is used to catch the laser pulse as narrow as 10ns; A laser power meter which has high accuracy and large dynamic scope is used to obtain accurate energy measurement of the laser pulse. The system has been checked and accepted, and all the performance parameters meet the design demands. Now it is used by user and operates very well.

Abstract:Many limitations occurred when the real solar photovoltaic array was used as testing equipment in the development of power electronic systems based on solar photovoltaic array.To solve this problem,an interactive digital photovoltaic array simulator was proposed.The simulator consisted of a half-bridge DC/DC converter,a digital signal processor(DSP) and human-computer interaction interface.Human-computer interaction interface realized the diversity of the simulation and visualization of the control.The design of the interactive interface realized the initialization of the environment parameters,established the mathematical model of the photovoltaic array and transmitted the information between PC and the DSP.DSP controlled half-bridge DC/DC converter fast and accurately with proper algorithm design.Solar photovoltaic array can be simulated up to 1kW.

Abstract:By using PDP (plasma display panel) characteristics of self-luminescence, thin structure, high brightness and uniform luminescence, a novel surface lamp-house based on PDP technology was developed to apply in a special space which needs thin illuminator. To overcome PDP'S shortage of low luminous ef- ficiency, many important modifications are accomplished in panel structure, phosphors material, working gas, manufacturing process and drive circuit. The improved surface lamp-house has parameters as follows.thickness less than 4 ram, luminance more than 350 cd/m2, color temperature 6500 K and luminous effi-ciency 4 lm/w. The study result of surface light source PDP will help to improve the photoelectric proper-ties of image PDP.

Abstract:High power Light-Emitting Diodes are used as the illuminating system of the portable projection system more recently. Through analysis the optical structure of high-power LEDs, the LED's optical model and package were simulated and the luminous intensity distribution diagram was obtained. According to the rectangle illuminating requirement of the projection system (the ratio of illuminating length and width is 4:3), a pair of reflective fly eye lens illuminating system with the characteristic of high-bright and uniformity illuminating was designed. Experimental results showed that greater than 85% of the uniform degree of illumination, the output light energy utilization ratio of 80% and the angle of divergence of 38 degree on the object plane were obtained while using the white LED as the light source with illuminating model of Lambertian distribution, luminous flux of 120lm and angle of divergence of 150 degree. This system will be fit for the portable and mini-projection system and other small light-emitting area, uniformity illuminating projection system.

Abstract:In this study, we present a novel design of precision light intensity modulation for LAPS measurement, aim to ameliorating the stability and precision of light source. A superluminescence LED (SLED) module, with a specialized designed SLED driver, is proposed as the light source. This design provides precision sine light intensity output. Furthermore, this design is immune from variation of ambient temperature. Contrast experiments were given between two conditions, with design of precision light intensity modulation and with traditional light source. From contrast experiments, it can be deduced that LAPS system with design of precision light intensity modulation has better linearity and accuracy than the latter one. © 2011 IEEE.

Abstract:The laser technique based sensors and actuators can provide many superior properties as noncontact, high sensitivity, remote operation, and reliable performance in contrast to other mechanical and electrical techniques. In this paper, we design and fabricate a high-precision 360 degrees laser receiver for leveling, especially for agricultural and construction field. The laser receiver is primarily composed of photoelectrical conversion module, electrical signal processing module, and display panel module. Based on the centroid method, the detection error of the laser receiver with respect to laser source and silicon photocell array, is analyzed and simulated. The design and fabrication process are described in detail, including the overall structure and electrical circuits. Furthermore, this fabricated laser receiver is demonstrated to be high precision through several static and dynamic tests in the distance of 10 and 50 m. Besides, this fabricated laser possesses wireless transmission function, which provides much convenient for users in remote operation.

Abstract:To eliminate measurement error caused by fluctuation, distortion and noise of light source output in a light-addressable potentiometric sensor (LAPS) system, LAPS system based on precise light intensity modulation is presented in this study. A superluminescence LED (SLED) module, with a home-made multi negative feedback SLED driver, is proposed as the precise light source in this system. A high-speed optical fiber spectrometer is introduced for on-line monitoring and long period intensity compensation. The precise light source provides light output to LAPS, and keeps light intensity on sensitive surface to meet sine rules with low distortion and low noise. Furthermore, it is immune from variation of ambient temperature. Detailed optical parameters of precise light source are presented and compared with conventional light source. H+ measurements for LAPS system based on precise light intensity modulation were given and compared with system with conventional light source. From contrast experiments, it can be deduced that LAPS system based on precise light intensity modulation has better linearity, higher accuracy and lower noise than LAPS system with conventional light source.

Abstract:In order to solve the problems of low localization rate and poor stability of laser ranging system, a system based on the TDC-GP22 timing unit and the pulsed laser ranging method in the time-of-flight (TOF) method is designed to realize laser ranging. The domestic AL0905P75WT18-03FW laser diode and power MOS tube are used as the laser transmitter module to realize the high stability of laser emission, and the domestic AA-S0905 L0500 LCC3-2-B avalanche diode is used as the laser detector to convert the optical signal into current signal, which is further processed by amplification, filtering and so on and then passed through the TDC-GP22 to realize the laser distance measurement. After further processing, the light signal is converted into current signal through amplification, filtering and other further processing, through TDC-GP22 timing, thus realizing laser distance measurement. The system adopts domestic light source and photodetector, domestic voltage regulator chip, operational amplifier and FPGA chip, which improves the reliability, stability and autonomy of the system.

Abstract:Appling related characteristics of photoresistance,we designed a kind of new LED light intensity distribution measuring device.Using this measuring device to measure a variety of LEDs,which parameters and light colors different are different,and based on matlab high times fitting,we simulated all the tested LEDs' luminous intensity distribution curve.The fitting is reliable.This measuring device is low-cost,small-sized,adaptability to the environment is strong,and the measurement process is simple.And thus it has a broad development prospects.

Abstract:With the background park lighting application, and based on the characteristics of advanced devices in the system, this paper studies the photovoltaic (PV) light emitted diode (LED) lighting system in three main aspects, which are the design of the whole system, hybrid control strategy combining the maximum power point tracing (MPPT, for PV panels) with the energy management(for battery), and LED driving and dimming. Taking the example of an actual 50W high luminous efficacy LED system, the design, implantation and experiments are described in detail. In addition, the long-term measurement results in real environment are illustrated in this paper.

Abstract:The double beam spectrophotometer is an analytic instrument with high accuracy. In order to improve the level of digitalization, intelligence, automation, and integration, using opto-mechatronics technique, a new intelligent ultraviolet-visible embedded spectrophotometer system is designed. The new spectrophotometer system based on embedded PC technique and Windows CE operate system has modular software system and web interface, and realizes the intelligent control of the whole measurement process. The software system applied double beam spectrometry, derived spectrometry and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, and it has powerful data processing and file management function. The technique structure of the embedded instrument system based on Windows CE is introduced in this paper. And the system structure of digital intelligent double beam spectrophotometer including optical system, embedded measurement and control system and multifunction software system is offered. After experiment and analysis, the instrument system could reach the expected accuracy, the level of digitalization, intelligence, integration, automation and network have got obviously improved compared to the original instrument system, and the powerful analysis function and perfect man-machine interface could be achieved. Besides, the technique can provide common key technique for the development of embedded opto-mechatronics test and analytic instrument system.

Abstract:This paper proposes a novel and practical method of measuring nonuniform light source by using digital imaging device.The differences between it and that by the conventional spot sighting luminance meter have been analyzed.The factors that influence the accuracy of digital imaging luminance measurement,such as imaging scaling,nonlinearity correction,multiple exposure,are numerically simulated and discussed.The results can be used for the design of digital imaging luminance meter.

Abstract:A multi-point measurement method for illuminance uniformity of lithography machines is proposed. The method of using ultraviolet (UV) enhanced PIN photodiode can rapidly measure the light intensity of the exposure machine, and the combination of improvement on the basis of traditional current-voltage amplifying circuit and composite amplification greatly improves the repeatability of exposure machine illuminance uniformity multi-point measurement method, and makes every single point measurement repeatability of measurement below 0.02 mW/cm(2). Experimental results show that with the use of UV enhanced PIN photodiode exposure machine light source, multi-point measurement consistency is less than 0.1 mW/cm(2), and the detection of the illuminance uniformity meets the requirements.

Abstract:Ab stract: -Light Emitting Diode (LED) is quite different from traditional light sources in many aspects. In this paper the practical aspects of LED's measurement and problems are discussed. An integrating sphere system is designed and implemented for LED measurement based on a multi<channel spectrometer. The principle and procedure of the measurement are presented, and then the measurement errors are analyzed. The spectrometer uses a Self<scanning Photodiode (SPD) Array device as the detector which has 256 pixels and ultra<high sensitivity. The system can fulfil fast and accurate measurement for LED's photometric and colorimetric quantities such as total luminous flux, Color Temperature, Color Rending Index (CRI) and color coordinate. This method can avoid the measurement errors by self<absorption effect and mismatch of V (λ).

Abstract:Using a solar radiometer is an effective approach for improving the remote sensing of solar irradiance distribution and atmospheric composition. Long-term development of a solar scanning radiometer enables frequent and reliable measurement of atmospheric parameters such as the water vapor column and aerosol optical properties. However, the discrete wavelength radiometer has encountered a bottleneck with respect to its insufficient spectral resolution and limited observation waveband, and it has been unable to satisfy the needs of refined and intelligent on-site experiments. This study proposes a solar-skylight spectroradiometer for obtaining visible and near-IR fine spectrum with two types of measurement: direct-sun irradiance and diffuse-sky radiance. The instrument adopts distributed control architecture composed of the ARM-Linux embedded platform and sensor networks. The detailed design of the measuring light-path, two-axis turntable, and master control system will be addressed in this study. To determine all coefficients needed to convert instrument outputs to physical quantities, integrating sphere and Langley extrapolation methods are introduced for diffuse-sky and direct-sun calibration, respectively. Finally, the agreement of experimental results between spectroradiometers and measuring benchmarks (DTF sun-photometer, microwave radiometer, and Combined Atmospheric Radiative Transfer simulation) verifies the feasibility of the spectroradiometer system, and the radiation information of feature wavelengths can be used to retrieve the characteristics of atmospheric optics.
