Study on preparation of aliphatic water-based hybrid emulsion of polyurethane-acrylate by multiple crosslink modification

Abstract:Water-based polyurethane dispersions were synthesized using IPDI,polyether,BDO,DMPA and so on,and then MMA and initiator were added,so aliphatic water-based polyurethane-acrylic hybrid emulsion were prepared by the method of core-shell emulsion polymerization.Low molecular weight crosslinker TMP and epoxy resin E-20 were introduced for crosslink modification.The structure of the resin was analyzed by FTIR.Influence of NCO to OH ratio,epoxy E-20 content,TMP content and MMA content to emulsion performance were discussed.It is found that performance of prepared PUA emulsion is excellent when(1.3~1.4)∶1 of NCO to OH ratio,3%~5% of E-20 content,1%~3% of TMP content and 20%~30% of MMA content are fixed.
