Abstract:Dumortier and Roussarie proposed a conjecture in their paper (2009, Discrete Con. Dyn. Sys., 2,723-781): For any \begin{document}$ q\in {\mathbb{N}} $\end{document} , the Abelian integrals \begin{document}$ J_{2j+1}(h) = \int_{\gamma_h}x^{2j-1}\,\mathrm dy $\end{document} , \begin{document}$ j = 0, 1, 2, \cdots, q $\end{document} , form a strict Chebyshev system on intervals \begin{document}$ h\in (0, \frac{1}{2}] $\end{document} , where \begin{document}$ \gamma_h = \{(x, y)| \mathrm e^{-2y}(y+\frac{1}{2}-x^2) = h\} $\end{document} . If this conjecture holds, then they obtain the precise upper bound of the number of limit cycles that appear near a slow-fast Hopf point of any codimension. In the present paper we develop a method to estimate the number of zeros of Abelian integrals and prove this conjecture.

Some Remarks on the Wu--Yau Theorem

Abstract:The Wu--Yau theorem asserts that a compact Kähler manifold with negative holomorphic sectional curvature admits a cohomologous metric with negative Ricci curvature. We introduce a conjectural positive analog of the Wu--Yau theorem and present several examples verifying the conjecture. We also produce an abundance of examples of Kähler--Einstein metrics on Kähler surfaces of general type that do not have negative holomorphic sectional curvature. This begins to address a question raised by Diverio.

Abstract:This is a continuation of our first paper in [WY16]. There are two purposes of this paper: One is to give a proof of the main result in [WY16] without going through the argument depending on numerical effectiveness. The other one is to provide a proof of our conjecture, mentioned in [TY], where the assumption of negative holomorphic sectional curvature is dropped to quasi-negative. We should note that a solution to our conjecture is also provided by Diverio-Trapani [DT]. Both proofs depend on our argument in [WY16]. But our argument here makes use of the argument given by the second author and Cheng in [CY75].

Abstract:The paper studies a new approach to estimating the distribution of prime tuples. This approach uses analytical sieve methods and the Chinese remainder theorem. It is proved that the expected number of prime tuples, not exceeding some natural value, in the Hardy-Littlewood conjecture is asymptotically equal to the actual number of tuples. This approach is generalized to the number of prime values of polynomials in the Bateman-Horn conjecture.

Abstract:Let $\mathcal{U}$ be the set of positive odd integers that cannot be represented as the sum of a prime and a power of two. In this paper, we prove that $\mathcal{U}$ is not a union of finitely many infinite arithmetic progressions and a set of asymptotic density zero. This gives a negative answer to a conjecture of P. Erd\H os. We pose several problems and a conjecture for further research.

Abstract:We give a conditional lower bound on the number of non-trivial simple zeros for the Dedekind zeta function , where K is a quadratic number field. The conditional result is given by assuming a Lindelöf condition on average (in the sense) for both and , which can be seen as a stronger version of Conrey–Gonek–Ghosh's (Invent Math 86:563–576, 1986) conditional result. This improves upon the work of Wu and Zhao (Mathematika 65:851–861, 2019), who had a similar result.

Abstract:In this paper we study practical numbers of some special forms. For any integers b >= 0 and c > 0, we show that if n(2) + bn + c is practical for some integer n > 1, then there are infinitely many nonnegative integers n with n2 + bn + c practical. We also prove that there are infinitely many practical numbers of the form q(4) + 2 with q practical, and that there are infinitely many practical Pythagorean triples (a; b; c) with gcd(a; b; c) = 6 (or gcd(a; b; c) = 4).

Abstract:In \cite{Wu22}, under the uniformly acute condition, Wu showed the rigidity of the geodesic triangulated plane under Luo's discrete conformality. In this article, by modifying Wu's proof, we improve this result by weakening the uniformly acute condition to the uniformly Delaunay condition.
