Sufficient conditions for the unique solvability of absolute value matrix equations

Abstract:In this paper, we discussed the unique solvability of the two absolute value matrix equations. The unique solvability condition $\rho (\vert A^{-1} B \vert)<1$ is provided for the generalized absolute value matrix equation (GAVME) $AX + B \vert X \vert = F$. This condition is superior to that of Kumar et al. [J. Numer. Anal. Approx. Theory, 51(1) (2022) 83-87]. We also discussed different conditions for the unique solvability of the new generalized absolute value matrix equation (NGAVME) $AX+B\vert CX \vert=F$ with $A, B, C, F, X \in \mathcal{R}^{n \times n}$. We also provided the corrected version of Corollary 2.1 from the published work by Wang et al. [Appl. Math. Lett., 116 (2021) 106966].

Abstract:Using the result of the error estimate of the simple extended Newton method established in the present paper for solving abstract inequality systems, we study the error bound property of approximate solutions of abstract inequality systems on Banach spaces with the involved function F being Fréchet differentiable and its derivative F^' satisfying the center-Lipschitz condition (not necessarily the Lipschitz condition) around a point x 0 . Under some mild conditions, we establish results on the existence of the solutions, and the error bound properties for approximate solutions of abstract inequality systems. Applications of these results to finite/infinite systems of inequalities/equalities on Banach spaces are presented and the error bound properties of approximate solutions of finite/infinite systems of inequalities/equalities are also established. Our results extend the corresponding results in [ 3 , 18 , 19 ].

Abstract:We comment on the paper ``Numerical study of the SWKB condition of novel classes of exactly solvable systems'' [Y. Nasuda and N. Sawado, Mod. Phys. Lett. A 36, 2150025 (2021)]. We show that it misrepresents our prior work [J. Bougie, A. Gangopadhyaya and C. Rasinariu, J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 51, 375202 (2018)], and clarify this misunderstanding.

Abstract:In this article, we study the unconditional uniqueness of. (H) over dot(s), 0 < s < 1, solutions for the nonlinear Schrodinger equation i partial derivative(t)u+Delta u+c vertical bar u vertical bar(alpha)u = 0 in R-n. We give a unified proof of the previously known results in the subcritical cases and critical cases, and we also extend these results to some previously unsettled cases. Our proof uses, in particular, negative order Sobolev spaces (or Besov spaces), general nonhomogeneous Strichartz estimates, and the improved regularity property for the difference of two solutions.

Abstract:In this paper, we present a uniqueness theorem obtained by using direct calculation. This theorem is applicable to stability problems of functional equations whose solutions are monomial or generalized polynomial mappings of degree n. The advantage of this uniqueness theorem is that it simplifies the proof by eliminating the need to repeatedly and cumbersomely prove uniqueness in stability studies.

On the Solvability of General Inverse $σ_k$ Equations

Abstract:We prove that if there exists a $C$-subsolution to a constant coefficients strictly $\Upsilon$-stable general inverse $\sigma_k$ equation, then there exists a unique solution. As a consequence, this result covers all the analytical results of the classical strictly $\Upsilon$-stable general inverse $\sigma_k$ equations, for example, the complex Monge--Ampère equation, the complex Hessian equation, the J-equation, the deformed Hermitian--Yang--Mills equation, etc. Hence, we confirm an analytical conjecture by Collins--Jacob--Yau [<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1508.01934" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1508.01934">arXiv:1508.01934</a>] of the solvability of the deformed Hermitian--Yang--Mills equation. Their conjecture states that the existence of a $C$-subsolution to a supercritical phase deformed Hermitian--Yang--Mills equation gives the solvability.
