Abstract:In this paper we introduce three combinatorial models for symmetrized poly-Bernoulli numbers. Based on our models we derive generalizations of some identities for poly-Bernoulli numbers. Finally, we set open questions and directions of further studies.

Abstract:Poly-Bernoulli numbers are one of generalizations of the classical Bernoulli numbers. Since a negative index poly-Bernoulli number is an integer, it is an interesting problem to study this number from combinatorial viewpoint. In this short article, we give a new combinatorial relation between symmetrized poly-Bernoulli numbers and the Dumont-Foata polynomials.

Abstract:In this note we augment the poly-Bernoulli family with two new combinatorial objects. We derive formulas for the relatives of the poly-Bernoulli numbers using the appropriate variations of combinatorial interpretations. Our goal is to show connections between the different areas where poly-Bernoulli numbers and their relatives appear and give examples how the combinatorial methods can be used for deriving formulas between integer arrays.

We provide combinatorial proofs for several identities involving poly-Cauchy numbers and some of their generalizations. Abstract:We present a symbolic representation for the poly-Bernoulli numbers. This allows us to prove several new iterated integral representations for the poly-Bernoulli numbers, including an integral transform of the Bernoulli-Barnes numbers. We also deduce some new recurrences for the poly-Bernoulli numbers. Finally, we use these results to present a new iterated integral representation for the Arakawa-Kaneko zeta function, including a nonlinear integral transform of the Barnes zeta function.

Abstract:By using the associated and restricted Stirling numbers of the second kind, we give some generalizations of the poly-Bernoulli numbers. We also study their arithmetical and combinatorial properties. As an application, at the end of the paper we present a new infinite series representation of the Riemann zeta function via the Lambert $W$.

Abstract:For any integer $k$, <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://M.Kaneko" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a> defined $k$-th poly-Bernoulli numbers as a kind of generalization of classical Bernoulli numbers using $k$-th polylogarithm. In case when $k$ is positive, $k$-th poly-Bernoulli numbers is a sequence of rational numbers as same as classical Bernoulli numbers. On the other hand, in case when $k$ is negative, it is a sequence of positive integers, and many combinatoric and number theoretic properties has been investigated. In the present paper, the negative case is treated, and their congruence and $p$-adic properties are discussed. Beside of them, application of the results to obtain a congruence property for the number of lonesum matrices is also mentioned.

Abstract:We introduce poly-Bernoulli polynomials in two variables by using a generalization of Stirling numbers of the second kind that we studied in a previous work. We prove the bi-variate poly-Bernoulli polynomial version of some known results on standard Bernoulli polynomials, as the addition formula and the binomial formula. We also prove a result that allows us to obtain poly-Bernoulli polynomial identities from polynomial identities, and we use this result to obtain several identities involving products of poly-Bernoulli and/or standard Bernoulli polynomials. We prove two generalized recurrences for bi-variate poly-Bernoulli polynomials, and obtain some corollaries from them.

Abstract:Assume that is Y a random variable whose moment generating function exists in a neighbourhood of the origin. The aim of this paper is to study probabilistic poly-Bernoulli numbers associated with Y, as probabilistic extensions of poly-Bernoulli numbers. We derive explicit expressions, some related identities and a symmetric relation for those numbers. We also investigate explicit expressions for the modified probabilisitc Bernoulli numbers associated with Y , which are slightly different from probabilisitic Bernoulli numbers associated with Y . As special cases of Y , we treat the Poisson, gamma and Bernoulli random variables.

Abstract:The main object of this paper is to investigate a new class of the generalized Hurwitz type poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials from which we derive some algorithms for evaluating the Hurwitz type poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials. By introducing a new generalization of the Stirling numbers of the second kind, we succeed to establish some combinatorial formulas for the generalized Hurwitz type poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials with negative upper indices. Moreover, we give a connection between the generalized Stirling numbers of the second kind and graph theory.

Abstract:Poly-Bernoulli numbers $B_n^{(k)}\in\mathbb{Q}$\,($n \geq 0$,\,$k \in \mathbb{Z}$) are defined by Kaneko in 1997. Multi-Poly-Bernoulli numbers\,$B_n^{(k_1,k_2,\ldots, k_r)}$, defined by using multiple polylogarithms, are generations of Kaneko's Poly-Bernoulli numbers\,$B_n^{(k)}$. We researched relations between Multi-Poly-Bernoulli numbers and Poly-Bernoulli numbers of negative index in particular. In section 2, we introduce a identity for Multi-Poly-Bernoulli numbers of negative index which was proved by Kamano. In section 3, as main results, we introduce some relations between Multi-Poly-Bernoulli numbers and Poly-Bernoulli numbers of negative index in particular.

Abstract:We introduce and study a generalization $s_{(\mu|\lambda)}$ of the Schur functions called the almost symmetric Schur functions. These functions simultaneously generalize the finite variable key polynomials and the infinite variable Schur functions. They form a homogeneous basis for the space of almost symmetric functions and are defined using a family of recurrences involving the isobaric divided difference operators and limits of Weyl symmetrization operators. The $s_{(\mu|\lambda)}$ are the $q=t=0$ specialization of the stable limit non-symmetric Macdonald functions $\widetilde{E}_{(\mu|\lambda)}$ defined by the author in previous work. We find a combinatorial formula for these functions simultaneously generalizing well known formulas for the Schur functions and the key polynomials. Further, we prove positivity results for the coefficients of the almost symmetric Schur functions expanded into the monomial basis and into the monomial-Schur basis of the space of almost symmetric functions. The latter positivity result follows after realizing the almost symmetric Schur functions $s_{(\mu|\lambda)}$ as limits of characters of representations of parabolic subgroups in type $GL.$
