Abstract:The multi-poly-Bernoulli numbers are generalizations of the Bernoulli numbers. In this paper, we will prove Kummer-type congruences for multi-poly-Bernoulli numbers via $p$-adic distributions.

Abstract:For any integer $k$, <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://M.Kaneko" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a> defined $k$-th poly-Bernoulli numbers as a kind of generalization of classical Bernoulli numbers using $k$-th polylogarithm. In case when $k$ is positive, $k$-th poly-Bernoulli numbers is a sequence of rational numbers as same as classical Bernoulli numbers. On the other hand, in case when $k$ is negative, it is a sequence of positive integers, and many combinatoric and number theoretic properties has been investigated. In the present paper, the negative case is treated, and their congruence and $p$-adic properties are discussed. Beside of them, application of the results to obtain a congruence property for the number of lonesum matrices is also mentioned.

Abstract:For every natural number $n$ and a fixed prime $p$, we prove a new congruence for the orbifold Euler characteristic of a group. The $p$-adic limit of these congruences as $n$ tends to infinity recovers the Brown-Quillen congruence. We apply these results to mapping class groups and using the Harer-Zagier formula we obtain a family of congruences for Bernoulli numbers. We show that these congruences in particular recover classical congruences for Bernoulli numbers due to Kummer, Voronoi, Carlitz, and Cohen.

Abstract:Zhao established the following harmonic congruence for prime p > 3:Sigma(i,j,k>0i+j+k=p) 1/ijk equivalent to -2B(p-3) (mod p).In this note, the authors improve it to the following congruence for prime p > 5:Sigma(i,j,k>0i+j+k=p) 1/ijk equivalent to 12B(p-3)/p-3 - 3B(2p-4)/p-2 (mod p(2)).Meanwhile, they also improve a generalization of Zhao's congruence and extend Eisenstein's congruence.

Abstract:We introduce multi-poly-Bernoulli-Carlitz numbers, function field analogues of multi-poly-Bernoulli numbers of Imatomi-Kaneko-Takeda. We explicitly describe multi-poly-Bernoulli Carlitz numbers in terms of the Carlitz factorial and the Stirling-Carlitz numbers of the second kind and also show their relationships with function field analogues of finite multiple zeta values.

Abstract:Let k be a positive integer and p be a prime.We give some congruences involving the binomial coefficients((k+1)p-a)p-a),(kp-1p-a) with 1 ≤ a ≤ p-1 and （kp+p-1/2b±p-1/2±b),(kp-1p-1/2±b) with 0 ≤ b ≤ p-1/2.In particular,we get a generalization of Morley's congruence.Meanwhile,some congruences about the summation of ((k+1)p-ap-a) are obtained.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the stabilizers of certain multisets $\mod p^k$ with respect to their natural multiplicative action, completely describing them for a certain family of polynomials whenever $p$ is an odd prime. This elucidates an underlying structure on the level of elements that yields a new proof of the classical Kummer Congruences. Hence the Kummer Congruences can be viewed as a consequence of putting together this local information, the interactions between which are understood. This gives a new perspective in that all known approaches are based directly on global considerations, namely either through global sum identities or $p$-adic integrals.

Abstract:It is significant to study congruences involving multiple harmonic sums. Let $p$ be an odd prime, in recent years, the following curious congruence $$\sum_{\substack{i+j+k=p \\ i, j, k>0}} \frac{1}{i j k} \equiv-2 B_{p-3}\pmod p$$ has been generalized along different directions, where $B_n$ denote the $n$th Bernoulli number. In this paper, we obtain several new generalizations of the above congruence by applying congruences involving multiple harmonic sums. For example, we have $$\sum_{\substack{k_1+k_2+\cdots+k_n=p \\ k_i> 0, 1 \le i \le n}} \dfrac{(-1)^{k_1}\left(\dfrac{k_1}{3}\right)}{k_1 \cdots k_n} \equiv \dfrac{(n-1)!}{n}\dfrac{2^{n-1}+1}{3\cdot6^{n-1}}B_{p-n}\left(\dfrac{1}{3}\right)\pmod p,$$ where $n$ is even, $B_n(x)$ denote the Bernoulli polynomials.

Abstract:Let $p$ be an odd prime, Jianqiang Zhao has established a curious congruence $$ \sum_{i+j+k=p \atop i,j,k > 0} \frac{1}{ijk} \equiv -2B_{p-3}\pmod p , $$ where $B_{n}$ denotes the $n-$th Bernoulli numbers. In this paper, we will generalize this problem by using congruent theory and combinatorial methods, and we get some curious congruences.

Abstract:Poly-Bernoulli numbers $B_n^{(k)}\in\mathbb{Q}$\,($n \geq 0$,\,$k \in \mathbb{Z}$) are defined by Kaneko in 1997. Multi-Poly-Bernoulli numbers\,$B_n^{(k_1,k_2,\ldots, k_r)}$, defined by using multiple polylogarithms, are generations of Kaneko's Poly-Bernoulli numbers\,$B_n^{(k)}$. We researched relations between Multi-Poly-Bernoulli numbers and Poly-Bernoulli numbers of negative index in particular. In section 2, we introduce a identity for Multi-Poly-Bernoulli numbers of negative index which was proved by Kamano. In section 3, as main results, we introduce some relations between Multi-Poly-Bernoulli numbers and Poly-Bernoulli numbers of negative index in particular.

Abstract:In this note we augment the poly-Bernoulli family with two new combinatorial objects. We derive formulas for the relatives of the poly-Bernoulli numbers using the appropriate variations of combinatorial interpretations. Our goal is to show connections between the different areas where poly-Bernoulli numbers and their relatives appear and give examples how the combinatorial methods can be used for deriving formulas between integer arrays.

In particular, we show that ∑_k=0^p-1-aka-1kH_k≡(-1)^⟨ a⟩_p 2(B_p-1(a)-B_p-1) p, ∑_k=0^p-1-aka-1kH_k^(2)≡ -E_p-3(a) p, (2a-1)∑_k=0^p-1-aka-1kH_k^(2)/2k+1≡ B_p-2(a) p, where ⟨ a⟩_p stands for the least nonnegative integer r with a≡ rp, and B_n(x) and E_n(x) denote the Bernoulli polynomial of degree n and the Euler polynomial of degree n respectively. We also pose some new conjectures on congruences.

Abstract:In this paper, we study certain Kummer characters arising from the pro-$p$ geometric fundamental groups of CM elliptic curves minus their origins (once-punctured CM elliptic curves). These characters may be regarded as analogues of the Soulé characters. We investigate various arithmetic assumptions under which such characters are nontrivial or even surjective.

As applications, we confirm several conjectures posed by Sun recently; for example, we determine $$\sum_{k=0}^{p-1}(-1)^k(2k+1)\sum_{j=0}^k\binom {-x}j^3\binom{x-1}{k-j}^3$$ modulo $p^2$ for any prime $p>3$ and $p$-adic integer $x$.

Abstract:Kummer's conjecture predicts the asymptotic growth of the relative class number of prime cyclotomic fields. We substantially improve the known bounds of Kummer's ratio under three scenarios: no Siegel zero, presence of Siegel zero and assuming the Riemann Hypothesis for the Dirichlet $L$-series attached to odd characters only. The numerical work in this paper extends and improves on our earlier preprint (arXiv:1908.01152) and demonstrates our theoretical results.
