Abstract:In this paper, we generalize the classical method used to classify nilpotent low-dimensional Lie algebras to serve for nilpotent Bol algebras. The algebraic classification of the nilpotent Bol algebras up to dimension four is given.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to the complete algebraic and geometric classification of complex $5$-dimensional nilpotent binary Leibniz and $4$-dimensional nilpotent mono Leibniz algebras. As a corollary, we have the complete algebraic and geometric classification of complex $4$-dimensional nilpotent algebras of nil-index $3$.

Abstract:Working over an arbitrary field of characteristic different from $2$, we extend the Skjelbred-Sund method to compatible Lie algebras and give a full classification of nilpotent compatible Lie algebras up to dimension $4$. In case the base field is cubically closed, we find that there are three isomorphism classes and a one-parameter family in dimension $3$, and $10$ isomorphism classes, $7$ one-parameter families and two $2$-parameter families in dimension $4$

Abstract:We classify nilpotent Lie algebras with complex structures of weakly non-nilpotent type in real dimension eight, which is the lowest dimension where they arise. Our study, together with previous results on strongly non-nilpotent structures, completes the classification of 8-dimensional nilpotent Lie algebras admitting complex structures of non-nilpotent type. As an application, we identify those that support a pseudo-Kähler metric, thus providing new counterexamples to a previous conjecture and an infinite family of (Ricci-flat) non-flat neutral Calabi-Yau structures. Moreover, we arrive at the topological restriction $b_1(X)\geq 3$ for every pseudo-Kähler nilmanifold $X$ with invariant complex structure, up to complex dimension four.

Abstract:We classify the nilpotent almost abelian Lie algebras admitting complex or symplectic structures. It turns out that if a nilpotent almost abelian Lie algebra admits a complex structure, then it necessarily admits a symplectic structure. Given an even dimensional almost abelian Lie algebra, we show that it always admits a complex structure when it is 2-step nilpotent and it always admits a symplectic structure when it is $k$-step nilpotent for $k=2, \, 3$ or $4$. Several consequences of the classification theorems are obtained.

Abstract:We derive explicit formulas for lambda-brackets of the affine classical W-algebras attached to the minimal and short nilpotent elements of any simple Lie algebra g. This is used to compute explicitly the first non-trivial PDE of the corresponding intgerable generalized Drinfeld-Sokolov hierarchies. It turns out that a reduction of the equation corresponding to a short nilpotent is Svinolupov's equation attached to a simple Jordan algebra, while a reduction of the equation corresponding to a minimal nilpotent is an integrable Hamiltonian equation on 2h-3 functions, where h is the dual Coxeter number of g. In the case when g is sl_2 both these equations coincide with the KdV equation. In the case when g is not of type C_n, we associate to the minimal nilpotent element of g yet another generalized Drinfeld-Sokolov hierarchy.

Abstract:In this paper, we develop a method to obtain the algebraic classification of compatible pre-Lie algebras from the classification of pre-Lie algebras of the same dimension. We use this method to obtain the algebraic classification of complex $2$-dimensional compatible pre-Lie algebras. As a byproduct, we obtain the classification of complex $2$-dimensional compatible commutative associative, compatible associative, and compatible Novikov algebras. In addition, we consider the geometric classification of varieties of cited algebras, that is the description of its irreducible components.
