Abstract:In this paper, we develop a method to obtain the algebraic classification of compatible pre-Lie algebras from the classification of pre-Lie algebras of the same dimension. We use this method to obtain the algebraic classification of complex $2$-dimensional compatible pre-Lie algebras. As a byproduct, we obtain the classification of complex $2$-dimensional compatible commutative associative, compatible associative, and compatible Novikov algebras. In addition, we consider the geometric classification of varieties of cited algebras, that is the description of its irreducible components.

Abstract:Working over an arbitrary field of characteristic different from $2$, we extend the Skjelbred-Sund method to compatible Lie algebras and give a full classification of nilpotent compatible Lie algebras up to dimension $4$. In case the base field is cubically closed, we find that there are three isomorphism classes and a one-parameter family in dimension $3$, and $10$ isomorphism classes, $7$ one-parameter families and two $2$-parameter families in dimension $4$

Abstract:In this paper we introduce the concept of $n$-Lie-isoclinism on non-Lie Leibniz algebras. Among the results obtained, we provide several characterizations of $n$-Lie-isoclinic classes of Leibniz algebras. Also, we provide a characterization of $n$-Lie-stem Leibniz algebras, and prove that every $n$-Lie-isoclinic class of Leibniz algebras contains a $n$-Lie-stem Leibniz algebra.

On the classification of 2-solvable Frobenius Lie algebras

Abstract:We discuss the classification of 2-solvable Frobenius Lie algebras. We prove that every 2-solvable Frobenius Lie algebra splits as a semidirect sum of an n-dimensional vector space V and an n-dimensional maximal Abelian subalgebra (MASA) of the full space of endomorphisms of V. We supply a complete classification of 2-solvable Frobenius Lie algebras corresponding to nonderogatory endomorphisms, as well as those given by maximal Abelian nilpotent subalgebras (MANS) of class 2, hence of Kravchuk signature (n-1,0,1). In low dimensions, we classify all 2-solvable Frobenius Lie algebras in general up to dimension 8. We correct and complete the classification list of MASAs of sl(4, R) by Winternitz and Zassenhaus. As a biproduct, we give a simple proof that every nonderogatory endormorphism of a real vector space admits a Jordan form and also provide a new characterization of Cartan subalgebras of sl(n, R).

Abstract:In this paper, we give a systematic study on isotropic ideals of metric n-Lie algebras. As an application, we show that the center of a non-abelian (n+k)-dimensional metric n-Lie algebra (1< k< n+2), whose center is isotropic, is of dimension k-1. Furthermore, we classify (n+k)-dimensional metric n-Lie algebras for 1< k < n+2.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a $\{\lambda_{1\to n-1}\}$-bracket and a distribution notion of an $n$-Lie conformal algebra. For any $n$-Lie conformal algebra $R$, there exists a series of associated infinite-dimensional linearly compact $n$-Lie algebras $\{(\mathscr{L}ie_p\mbox{ }R)_\_\}_{(p\ge1)}$. We show that torsionless finite $n$-Lie conformal algebras $R$ and $S$ are isomorphic if and only if $(\mathscr{L}ie_p\mbox{ }R)_\_\simeq (\mathscr{L}ie_p\mbox{ }S)_\_$ as linearly compact $n$-Lie algebras with $\partial_{t_i}$-action for any $p\ge1$. Moreover, the representation and cohomology theory of $n$-Lie conformal algebras are established. In particular, the complex of $R$ is isomorphic to a subcomplex of $n$-Lie algebra $(\mathscr{L}ie_p\mbox{ }R)_\_$.

Abstract:We study realizations of Lie algebras by vector fields. A correspondence between classification of transitive local realizations and classification of subalgebras is generalized to the case of regular local realizations. A reasonable classification problem for general realizations is rigorously formulated and an algorithm for construction of such classification is presented.

Abstract:Revisiting the results by Winternitz [Symmetry in physics, CRM Proc. Lecture Notes 34, American Mathematical Society, Providence, RI, 2004, pp. 215-227], we thoroughly refine his classification of Lie subalgebras of the real order-three special linear Lie algebra and thus present the correct version of this classification for the first time. A similar classification over the complex numbers is also carried out. We follow the general approach by Patera, Winternitz and Zassenhaus but in addition enhance it and rigorously prove its theoretical basis for the required specific cases of classifying subalgebras of real or complex finite-dimensional Lie algebras. As a byproduct, we first construct complete lists of inequivalent subalgebras of the rank-two affine Lie algebra over both the real and complex fields.

Abstract:We first recall two equivalent definitions of Lie 2-algebras,categorification of Lie algebras and 2-term L∞-algebras.Then we present four different kinds of Lie 2-algebras from 2-plectic manifolds,Courant algebroids,homotopy Poisson manifolds and affine multivector fields on a Lie groupoid respectively.Moreover,we recall the cohomology theory of Lie 2-algebras and analyze its lower degree cases.The integration of strict Lie 2-algebras to strict Lie 2-groups is also discussed.

Abstract:In this paper, we give a unified description of morphisms and comorphisms of $n$-Lie-Rinehart algebras. We show that these morphisms and comorphisms can be regarded as two subalgebras of the $\psi$-sum of $n$-Lie-Rinehart algebras. We also provide similar descriptions for morphisms and comorphisms of $n$-Lie algebroids. It is proved that the category of vector bundles with Nambu-Poisson structures of rank $n$ and the category of their dual bundles with $n$-Lie algebroid structures of rank $n$ are equivalent to each other.
