Abstract:The present paper is devoted to the complete classification of $4$-dimensional complex Poisson algebras, taking into account a classification, up to isomorphism, of the complex commutative associative algebras of dimension $4$, as well as by using a Lie algebra classification, up to isomorphism.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is to completely classify 4 - dimensional complex Poisson algebras. Specifically, the authors aim to achieve this goal based on the existing isomorphism classifications of 4 - dimensional complex commutative associative algebras and Lie algebras. ### Background and Significance Poisson algebras are an important class of algebraic structures and play a crucial role in fields such as Hamiltonian mechanics, quantum groups, differential geometry, non - commutative geometry, integrable systems, quantum field theory, and vertex operator algebras. They can be regarded as the algebraic counterparts of Poisson manifolds, that is, the real - valued smooth function algebra \(C^{\infty}(M,\mathbb{R})\) on a smooth manifold \(M\) is equipped with a Lie bracket that satisfies the Leibniz rule. The classification of low - dimensional algebras helps to understand the structures of higher - dimensional algebras and can reveal the potential symmetries and geometric properties of physical systems. Therefore, the classification of 4 - dimensional complex Poisson algebras not only has theoretical significance in mathematics but also has important applications in physics. ### Method Overview The authors adopted a method of classifying Poisson structures based on a given commutative associative algebra. The specific steps are as follows: 1. **Compute \(Z^{2}(P, P)\)**: For any 4 - dimensional complex commutative associative algebra \(P\), compute all skew - symmetric bilinear maps \(\theta\in Z^{2}(P, P)\) that satisfy specific conditions. 2. **Find the action orbits of the automorphism group \(\text{Aut}(P)\) on \(Z^{2}(P, P)\)**: Through appropriate group actions, find the orbits of these maps under the action of the automorphism group. 3. **Select a representative element for each orbit**: Select a representative element \(\theta\) from each orbit and construct the corresponding Poisson algebra \((P,\cdot,[\cdot,\cdot]_{\theta})\). ### Main Results Through the isomorphism classifications of 4 - dimensional complex commutative associative algebras and Lie algebras, the authors obtained a series of specific 4 - dimensional complex Poisson algebras. These algebras include, but are not limited to, the following types: - Multiple specific Poisson algebra examples such as \(P_{4,1}\) to \(P_{4,67}\), each example has its own unique multiplication table and Lie bracket definition. - There are some isomorphism relationships between these algebras, for example, \(P_{4,4}^{\alpha}\sim P_{4,4}^{\beta}\) if and only if \((\alpha - \beta)(\alpha\beta - 1)=0\). ### Summary This paper provides a detailed basis for understanding and studying this type of algebraic structure through the complete classification of 4 - dimensional complex Poisson algebras. This not only helps with the algebraic classification problem in the field of mathematics but also provides a new perspective and tool for the study of physical systems.
