Abstract:The catalyst was prepared by using iron salt and manganese salt as active matter. Using the pre-pared catalyst, the ethylene pent caustic was oxidized at atmospheric pressure and low temperature by using air as oxidant. The influence of reaction temperature,reaction time,air,catalyst concentration etc. on the desulfurization efficiency was investigated. The result showed that the reaction temperature was 50 ℃,the reaction time was 20 min,air was 40 L/h,the catalyst concentration was 10 mg/L. The pre-pared composite catalysts have good catalytic activity,the S2- conversion rate was 99. 7％. The technology has some advantages,for example,use amount of catalyst was very low,reaction time was short. The tech-nology achieved good effect in the chemical plant,it has a good application prospect.

Abstract:Reducing costs and improving performance have always been hotspots in the field of catalyst research. In order to control the NOx in the low-temperature flue gas of nonpower industries, this paper studies the denitration performance of the ultrasonication-assisted preparation of Mn-based blast furnace slag selective catalytic reduction (SCR) low-temperature denitration catalysts. The catalyst was characterized by FT-IR, XRD, and SEM. The study found that ultrasound assistance can make the active components on the catalyst surface more uniformly dispersed and improve the catalytic activity of the catalyst. Under conditions of 80 W ultrasonic power and 20 min ultrasonic time, the denitration performance of the Mn-based blast furnace slag catalyst is optimal, and the NO removal rate is 2.5 times that of the unsonicated catalyst. This work clarified the mechanism of the effect of ultrasonic assistance on the Mn-based blast furnace slag catalyst and at the same time realized the utilization of solid waste resources and air pollution control.This article has not yet been cited by other publications.

Abstract:This study utilizes solid waste generated from the steel industry (blast furnace slag) as the raw material, bentonite and active components are added. The overall performance of the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst is evaluated using a catalytic activity device, resulting in the preparation of a high‐performance SCR catalyst for flue gas treatment. This study focuses on utilizing ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) from a steel plant as the main raw material, with water and calcium‐based montmorillonite as binders, with manganese and alkali metal nitrates (Na, K, Mg, Ca). A series of supported denitration catalysts are prepared using the equal volume impregnation method. These catalysts are then employed in the selective catalytic reduction process to investigate their impact on denitration effectiveness. Furthermore, the mechanism of low‐temperature denitration in selective catalytic reduction is analyzed by combining catalyst activity tests and characterization techniques. The activity of catalysts is assessed through Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FT‐IR), X‐Ray diffraction (XRD), and search engine marketing (SEM) characterization tests, along with examining its denitration and sulfur resistance capabilities to determine the denitration mechanism. Experimental results indicate that Mn–Mg/GGBS exhibit the most efficient low‐temperature denitrification effect, and it demonstrates certain sulfur resistance with a 5% Mn loading and a 3% second active component. Introducing Ce as the third active component further enhances the sulfur resistance of Mn–Mg–Ce/GGBS when loaded at 1%.

Abstract:In this article, blast furnace slag, a high-yield industrial solid waste, was taken as the research object and it was used as the main material. Bentonite was used as the binder, and water was added to shape the blast furnace slag into a small column. The denitration catalyst was prepared using different methods, its denitration performances were compared and analyzed, and the best preparation method and process parameters were screened. Results showed that bentonite will clearly improve denitration performance, and 4:1 blast furnace slag and bentonite was selected as the molding ratio to reduce the effect of bentonite on its performance, combined with the hardness and surface adhesion of the prepared carrier. Separately, the catalysts were prepared using citric acid impregnation, hydrothermal decomposition, and mixing method, and active Mn was loaded. Among them, the hydrothermal decomposition method cannot completely decompose in a closed kettle, resulting in a lower denitration performance. The catalyst prepared using the mixing method is superior to that prepared using the impregnation method because the active component prepared by the former was more uniformly dispersed, and simple and easy to operate, which can meet the needs of the excess denitration catalysts of small enterprises.This article has not yet been cited by other publications.

Abstract:In order to control NOx in low‐temperature flue gases emitted from non‐power industries and to reduce the preparation cost of denitration catalysts. this study uses inexpensive blast furnace slag as raw material to prepare denitration catalysts. After cooling, drying and grinding, the blast furnace slag becomes a powder with considerable fineness and meets the requirements of activity index, which is called GGBS (ground granulated blast furnace slag). Using GGBS as denitration catalyst carrier, and the active components M (M = Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Ce) is loaded on Mn‐based GGBS catalyst by impregnation method. The effect of different active components on the denitration performance and sulphur resistance of Mn‐based GGBS catalysts is investigated. The results show that Mn‐Ce/GGBS catalyst has better denitration performance and sulphur resistance. Mn‐Ce/GGBS catalyst has a significant denitration performance when load ratio is 2:1. The active component Ce improves the denitration performance of the catalyst, reduces catalyst sulphur poisoning and extends the life of the catalyst. The SO2 in the flue gas increases the acid sites on the catalyst surface and improves catalyst activity. The larger the ratio of Mn4+/Mn3+, Ce4+/Ce3+ and Oα/Oβ, the stronger the catalyst activity and the better the denitration performance. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

Abstract:Molecular sieve catalysts are one of the most studied fluidized bed catalysts.Molecular sieve microsphere catalysts are typically prepared by spraydrying processes,which used double aluminum-based sol,silica-aluminum composite sol,phosphorus-aluminum sol,etc.as binders in industry.The fluidized bed catalysts required not only good catalytic performance,but also superiorattrition resistance,favourable sphericity and appropriate particle size distribution to match the actual industrial manufacturing.The attri-tion resistance,particle size distribution,sphericity and catalytic performance of molecular sieve catalysts are significantly affected by the selection of binders and supports,the slurry preparation processes,the inlet and outlet temperatures of the spraydrying processes,the atomizer speed and the post-processing of the catalysts.The current research progresseson improving the attrition resistance of fluidized bed molecular sieve catalysts(FCC catalysts and MTO catalysts are taken as examplesin this paper)are summarized from three aspects including optimization of catalyst slurry components,optimization of spraydrying proces-ses and post-processing of catalysts,and provide some references for the research & development of other attrition resistant fluidized bed catalysts.

Abstract:Low-temperature SCR denitrifying process can avoid the problem such as blocking and abrasion thus which often happen in medium temperature,abatement of K,Na,Ca and As elements pollution and poison,lowering the operating cost. A review and research progress of various kinds of low-temperature denitrifying catalysts were presented.The article comprehensively expounded the affecting factors for the low-temperature activation,such as formed different oxide phases,preparation method,carrier modification and internal structure of calalysts; then it was focused on analyzing the mechanism of poisoned low-temperature SCR catalysts and the way to improve anti-poisoning. on one hand,the dual effect of SO2 was attributed to the sulfur compounds that might be generated with the active components of the catalytic surface. H2O inhabits the catalytic activity,which might be attributed to competitive adsorption of H2O and reactant. on the other hand,the modification of catalyst active composition and improvement on preparation method could improve anti-SO2 performance; Finally,the research and development orientation of low-temperature de-nitrification SCR technologies were proposed.

Abstract:In recent years, low-temperature SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) denitrification technology has been popularized in non-power industries and has played an important role in the control of industrial flue gas NOx emissions in China. Currently, the most commonly used catalysts in industry are V2O5-WO3(MoO3)/TiO2, MnO2-based catalysts, CeO2-based catalysts, MnO2-CeO2 catalysts and zeolite SCR catalysts. The flue gas emitted during industrial combustion usually contains SO2, moisture and alkali metals, which can affect the service life of SCR catalysts. This paper summarizes the mechanism of catalyst poisoning and aims to reduce the negative effect of NH4HSO4 on the activity of the SCR catalyst at low temperatures in industrial applications. It also presents the outstanding achievements of domestic companies in denitrification in the non-power industry in recent years. Much progress has been made in the research and application of low-temperature NH3-SCR, and with the renewed demand for deeper NOx treatments, new technologies with lower energy consumption and more functions need to be developed.

Abstract:Fenton sludge is a kind of hazardous industrial waste produced during the Fenton oxidation process, and it has extremely high application potential in the field of NO x control. However, the irregular distribution of active components limited its low-temperature activity. Herein, we proposed an efficient and high-value acidification recombination method for the preparation of iron-based denitrification catalysts using pretreated Fenton sludge. The active components in the Fenton sludge were reconfigured and evenly covered on the support material to improve the synergistic catalytic performance between the components. Well dispersed Fe 2 O 3 is more favorable to accelerate charge transfer to form Fe 3+ . And the high proportion of O β can effectively compensate for the charge imbalance of the RFS catalysts, which is beneficial to enhance the reducibility and the formation of Lewis acid sites on the catalyst surface. The effects of acidification dosage and recombinant alkali dosage on the catalytic activity and physicochemical properties of the catalysts were investigated. When the acidification dosage is 1.4 time and the recombinant alkali dosage is 10 (pH = 10), the catalyst has the most excellent catalytic activity. It can achieve more than 90 % NO x conversion in the range of 205 − 461 °C, and the overall pattern shows that the catalytic activity further increases with increasing acidification dosage or recombinant alkali dosage. This study verified the stimulation effect of deep modification on the catalytic properties of Fenton sludge, revealed the promotion mechanism of acidification recombination process on denitrification performance, and improved its industrial applicability in the field of flue gas denitrification.

Abstract:Efficient, environment-friendly, and energy-saving low-temperature denitration (DeNO(x)) catalysts, applicable in practical flue gas, have a widespread market for use in small-scale boilers. A novel Ce-based low-temperature honeycomb catalyst was tested in a pilot-scale plant for DeNO(x) of flue gas from a coal-fired power plant. The pilot test results demonstrated the honeycomb catalyst's ability to endure a high content of water vapor (H2O, 8-10 vol%) and low content of sulfur dioxide (SO2, <= 35 mg m(-3)) in flue gas at temperatures as low as 100 degrees C, with >55% DeNO(x) efficiency over 3400 h and the catalyst showed no deactivation. Physicochemical properties of the catalyst were investigated by various characterization methods, such as Brunauer-Emmett-Teller analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis, inductively coupled plasma, temperature-programmed desorption of NH3, thermogravimetry, and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. The results showed the effectiveness of the selective catalytic reduction unit in preventing the deposition of particulate matter in the flue gas, after being placed in the desulfurization and dust removal unit. However, a small amount of alkali metal and sulfate deposition were detected on the surface and micropores of the catalyst but did not significantly impact the catalyst performance. This catalyst thus has broad potential applicability in actual flue gas.

Abstract:In this paper, fly ash-based catalysts were supported by equivalent-volume impregnation method and roasted with low-temperature plasma technology. This technology has the advantages of short treatment time, lower energy consumption, and well-distributed active components. Therefore, the plasma power, plasma time, oxygen flow rate and metal loading condition in the denitration process were studied at sub-atmosphere ambient gas processing conditions. Different types of fly ash, modification conditions and loading conditions in the denitration process were studied. BET, XRD, SEM and XPS were used to characterize the catalysts, and the effect of the structure and performance of catalysts during the catalytic activity of the catalysts were further determined. The results were: The manganese metal and cerium metal were successively loaded in the catalyst and then roasted in low temperature plasma with oxygen. The two metals had a synergistic effect on forming P-type semiconductors, which significantly improved the performance of denitration. MnO2 and CeO2 played a major role in denitration. The fly ash-based catalyst with the preliminary modification and then loaded metal oxides not only maintained effective denitration performance, but also greatly improved the sulfur resistance, and had a positive effect on extending the service life of catalysts.

Abstract:The main factors restricking the application of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology in China to control NOx emission are the problems of catalyst cost for SCR denitrification and the potential secondary pollution of heavy metalls.For this reason,the research achivements for catalysts of SCR denitrifucation by NH3 and hydrocarbon have been expounded respectively,such as metal oxides,metal ion exchanged zeolites,titanium pillared clay,Al2O3 supported heavy metalls,and rare earth oxides catalysts,and including principles of selecting a suitable catalyst,reation mechanism,catalytic activity,temperature range of activity,and effects of H2O and SO2 in the flue gas etc.,and direction for further improving catalytic activities being proposed.

Abstract:Nitrogen oxides (NOx) are the main pollutants of air, which mainly come from the combustion of coal and fossil fuels. In this paper, with fly ash used as the catalyst carrier, the effects on the denitration and sulfur resistance of Mn-Ce loading sequence and molar ratio were studied. The catalyst was characterized and analyzed by XRD, XPS, SEM. The results show that when Mn-Ce bimetal is loaded at the same time, Mn ions enter the CeO2 lattice to form a solid solution of Mn-O-Ce fluorite structure, which makes the catalyst has the best denitration and sulfur resistance. The catalyst denitration performance increases first and then decreases with the increase of Mn-Ce molar ratio. When Mn-Ce is 1:1, the denitration efficiency is higher, the total conversion rate of NO is the highest and the deactivation time is the longest, the catalyst is resistant to sulfur performance is also the best.

Abstract:To control the SO2 emission and achieve the target of "waste controlled by waste", a novel desulfurization method with blast furnace dust slurry was proposed. The effects of reaction temperature, oxygen concentration, and solid–liquid ratio on SO2 removal efficiency were investigated. The optimal conditions were reaction temperature of 35 ℃, oxygen concentration of 10 vol.%, and solid–liquid ratio of 0.5 g/300 mL. Under the optimal conditions, the desulfurization efficiency reached 100% for 4 h. Response surface methodology (RSM) results showed that oxygen concentration significantly influenced the SO2 removal efficiency. Finally, the possible desulfurization mechanism of blast furnace dust was proposed based on the EDX, XRD, SEM–EDS, ICP, and IC. The blast furnace dust (main components are CaZn8(SO4)2(OH)12Cl2·(H2O)9, Mn6.927Si6O15·(OH)8, ZnO, Fe2O3) reacted with H+ to form Zn2+, Fe3+, and Mn2+ which shows a key effect on the SO2 liquid catalytic oxidation. This study provides a promising, feasible, and low-cost desulfurization technology by reusing blast furnace dust.

Abstract:The flue gas denitrification technology by using selective catalytic reduction(SCR) method widely used and under research at present, as well as catalytic agents system have been sammarized, some factors affecting the SCR process, such as reaction temperature, flue gas velocity in space of the reactor, flow pattern of the flue gas and mixing with ammonia turbulence, as well as passivation of catalytic agent etc., have been analysed in detail, and preventive measures being put forward. It is indicated that the SCR technology is even though a matured technique, and has high efficiency of flue gas denitrification, but the capital investment and operation cost are very high, becoming the main factors that limit the development and application of SCR method. Hence, the advancement and study target of a low temperature SCR technology which can reduce the entire cost of SCR facility have been presented.

Abstract:The invention relates to an SCR (selective catalytic reduction) denitration catalyst, in particular to an SCR (selective catalytic reduction) denitration catalyst for accelerating ammonium hydrogen sulfate decomposition by low-temperature flue gas, a preparation method and an application. The SCR denitration catalyst takes composite oxides formed by titanic oxides and transition metal oxides as carriers, vanadium oxides as active components and tungsten oxides as co-catalysts, the molar ratio of transition metal elements to titanium elements in the catalyst is (0.1-0.5):1, and the transition metal oxides include one or more of MnO2, Fe2O3, CeO2, ZrO2, Al2O3, SnO2, Nb2O5 and Sb2O5. An appropriate quantity of transition metal oxides are added into the catalyst, the SCR denitration catalyst for accelerating low-temperature decomposition of ammonium hydrogen sulfate is prepared, and the catalyst accelerates the ammonium hydrogen sulfate to decompose at the temperature lower than 350 DEG C.

Abstract:One technological process employing ozone and heterogeneous catalyst-sorbents was proposed for removal of SO2 from flue gas. The catalyst-sorbents were developed and tested especially for adsorption and oxidation of SO2. Alternative catalyst-supporters including γ-Al2O3, permutite, silica gel, activated carbon and diatomite combined with different metal oxides (MnO2, Cr2O3, Fe2O3, CuO, CoO and NiO) were evaluated and tested. It was found that γ-Al2O3 doped with MnO2 can be considered as removal-effective sorbent for adsorption and oxidation of SO2. The synergetic effect between ozone and catalyst was found to be dominated. Effects of catalyst preparation parameters like calcination temperature, metal loaded and reaction temperature, etc. were investigated based on the MnO2/Al2O3 catalyst-sorbents. Results show that γ-Al2O3 combined with 8% Mn, calcinated under 573 K and reacted at 413 K are the optimal parameters for removal of SO2. Extra NO in flue gas can slightly enhance the capture efficiency of SO2.

Abstract:Excessive emissions of nitrogen oxides from flue gas have imposed various detrimental impacts on environment, and the development of deNO x catalysts with low-cost and high performance is an urgent requirement. Iron oxide-based material has been explored for promising deNO x catalysts. However, the unsatisfactory low-temperature activity limits their practical applications. In this study, a series of excellent low-temperature denitrification catalysts (Ha-FeO x /yZS) were prepared by acid treatment of zinc slag, and the mass ratios of Fe to impure ions was regulated by adjusting the acid concentrations. Ha-FeO x /yZS showed high denitrification performance (> 90%) in the range of 180–300 °C, and the optimal NO conversion and N 2 selectivity were higher than 95% at 250 °C. Among them, the Ha-FeO x /2ZS synthesized with 2 mol/L HNO 3 exhibited the widest temperature window (175–350 °C). The excellent denitrification performance of Ha-FeO x /yZS was mainly attributed to the strong interaction between Fe and impurity ions to inhibit the growth of crystals, making Ha-FeO x /yZS with amorphous structure, nice fine particles, large specific surface area, more surface acid sites and high chemisorbed oxygen. The in-situ DRIFT experiments confirmed that the SCR reaction on the Ha-FeO x /yZS followed both Langmuir-Hinshelwood (L-H) mechanism and Eley-Rideal (E-R) mechanism. The present work proposed a high value-added method for the preparation of cost-effective catalysts from zinc slag, which showed a promising application prospect in NO x removal by selective catalytic reduction with ammonia.

Study on the Removal of NOX from Sintered Flue Gas by Vanadium Sintered Ore

Abstract:The vanadium sintered ore was used as catalysts in selective catalytic reduction(SCR)denitration of sin-tered flue gas. The physical chemistry properties of the vanadium sintered ore catalysts were analyzed by using X-ray fluorescence(XRF),BET specific surface area measurement and X-ray diffraction(XRD). The effects of tempera-ture,NH3/NO ratio,gas hourly space velocity(GHSV),SO2 and H2O on the NOXconversion of vanadium sintered ore catalyst were studied and a new sintering flue gas denitration process was proposed. The result show that the main components of the vanadium sintered ore catalyst are Fe2O3 and V2O5,the maximum of NOXconversion can reach 67% when the temperature is 300℃,the NH3/NO ratio is 1,and the GHSV is 1 000 h-1. It is found that H2O can improve the NOXconversion and SO2 reduce the catalytic activity of the vanadium sintered ore,and when H2O and SO2 exist simultaneously,the NOXconversion is significantly reduced.
