Abstract:By means of a nested sequence of some critical pieces constructed by Kozlovski, Shen, and van Strien, and by using a covering lemma recently proved by Kahn and Lyubich, we prove that the Julia set of a polynomial is a Cantor set if and only if each component of the filledin Julia set containing critical points is aperiodic. This result was a conjecture raised by Branner and Hubbard in 1992.

Abstract:By means of a nested sequence of some critical pieces constructed by Kozlovski, Shen, and van Strien, and by using a covering lemma recently proved by Kahn and Lyubich, we prove that a component of the filled-in Julia set of any polynomial is a point if and only if its forward orbit contains no periodic critical components. It follows immediately that the Julia set of a polynomial is a Cantor set if and only if each critical component of the filled-in Julia set is aperiodic. This result was a conjecture raised by Branner and Hubbard in 1992.

Abstract:In this paper,the defination of block centrosymmetric matrices is given,and some properties of block centrosymmetric matrices are shown.The relation between nonsingular centrosymmetric H-matrix and their reduced forms is investigated,a simple sufficent condition to testify whether a block centrosymmetric matrix is an H-matrix is given.All these results generalize the conclusions of[2].

Abstract:It is well known that the strong subadditivity theorem is hold for classical system, but it is very difficult to prove that it is hold for quantum system. The first proof of this theorem is due to Lieb by using the Lieb's theorem. Here we use the conditions obtained in our previous work of matrix analysis method to give a new proof of this famous theorem. This new proof is very elementary, it only needs to carefully analyse the minimal value of a function. This proof also shows that the conditions obtained in our previous work are stronger than the strong subadditivity theorem.

We use algebra, modular math, and binomial series to develop inherent mathematical relationships hidden within Fermat's Last Theorem. Abstract:Section 10.4 of the 1998 Springer-Verlag book {\em Complexity and Real Computation}, by Blum, Cucker, Shub, and Smale, contains a particularly elegant proof of the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra: The central idea of the proof naturally leads to a homotopy continuation algorithm for finding the roots of univariate polynomials, and extends naturally to a proof of Bézout's Theorem (on the number of roots of systems of $n$ equations in $n$ unknowns). We present a more detailed version of the BCSS Proof which is hopefully useful for students and researchers not familiar with algebraic geometry. So while there are no new results in this paper, the exposition is arguably more elementary. Any errors here are solely the responsibility of the current author.
