Design optimization of wet-FGD system of multiple boilers with one absorber for medium-sized coal-fired boilers

Abstract:According to such problems as corrosion in brick flue duct and dry chimney,the structural strength of original brick flue duct be affected,expensive side-entering agitators,easy blocking of the desulfurizer preparing system and the high-level arrangement of vacuum belt dewatering machines that occurred during the FGD system transformation,the corresponding design optimization were proposed.For example,boosting modification of the induced draft fan,setting wet stack on top of the absorber,separating the absorber and the cyclic oxidation pool,cross-setting the discharge ports of bunker and that of slurry tanks,and conducting liquid-vapor separation with vacuum balance self-draining device.Application results showed that,the optimized system had such advantages as low investment,little maintenance,high reliability and stable operation,so it was suitable for desulfurization transformation for medium-sized power plant.
