Abstract:In this paper through many experiments we had analysed respectively the infuences on the wool/spandex core-spun yarns performances of the variouns core yarns characteristics,spandex contents,pre-draft times and operatig speeds etc.The results showed that the pre-draft times should be changed with the specifications of the spandex.The higher the filament counts are, the larger the pre-draft times shouled be.The spandex content can influence the yarn performances.The higher the spandex content is,the larger the elasticity is.Properly improring the yarns twist can increase the yarns strength and covering effects,reduce the colored spot.Combining with the production practices we also had brought the corresponding methods aiming at solving the difficulties effectively in the production and provided the references for the further developing of new products.

Abstract:The quality of yak cashmere is good,it is natural textile material.Its fiber is shorter and relatively coarse,so it is harder to spinning fine yarn with yak cashmere.This paper based on the characteristics of yak cashmere,used raw yak cashmere and slenderizing yak cashmere to spinning five yarn by semi-worsted spinning and worsted spinning process,there are raw yak cashmere semi-worsted yarn of 16.7 tex slenderizing yak cashmere semi-worsted yarn of 15.6 tex yak raw cashmere worsted yarn of 13.5 tex slenderizing yak cashmere worsted yarn of 10.9 tex and slenderizing yak cashmere /yak raw cashmere worsted yarn of 10.9 tex.Experiment showed that yak cashmere can be used to process fine yarn and light product,slenderizing can improve the quality of yak cashmere effectively and increase its spinnability,yak cashmere can be used widely.

Abstract:The slubbed yarn device was set on the reconstructed B583 spinning frame,in which the speed of middle and back rollers is instantaneously changed.The fine wool fibers are used to manufacture a series of products of elastic core slubbed yarns.The factors affecting the quality of elastic core slubbed yarn are analyzed by technical experimentation and production practice.The effective measures to improve yarn quality are explored.

Abstract:To produce milk protein fiber polyurethane core-spun yarn,processing parameters of each process was optimized.Milk protein fibers were pretreated before production,low speed,big gauge,more carding & less beating,evenness blending,quick transfer,small tension were adopted in cleaning and carding process.Order draft was adopted in drawing process,bigger twister,smaller back zone draft multiple were adopted in roving process,heavy pressure,big back zone gauge,small back zone draft,small nip gauge and so on were adopted in spinning process.Through these measures,better yarn quality and evenness can be got.

Abstract:From the definition of spinnability and the mechanism of filament breaking,the spinnability of polyacry-lonitrile solution for carbon fiber is discussed;and the research progress in spinnability is also described.Although it is difficult to express directly the quantitative characterization of spinnability,the spinnability seems to be closely correlated with the rheology.From the aspects of steady and dynamic rheology,the research progress of rheology in carbon fibers is reviewed.The application prospects of rheology in polyacrylonitrile based-carbon fiber are predicted.It is pointed out that developing the role of rheology in preparation of carbon fibers is important in the investigation of the spinnability of polyacrylonitrile solution.

Abstract:According to the characteristics of far-infrared polyester,bamboo fiber and acrylic,together with the practical production,this paper discusses various measures that increasing the blended yarns' quality.The results show that the processing principles of the abbreviated system,multiple bale breaking,small beating,slow speed,and multiple blending are adopted in the picking process;the light quantum,middle gauge,middle speed,large transfer coefficient,and small tension draft are used in the carding process;the light quantum,slow speed,heavy pressure,straight draft,large gauge are used in the drawing process;the heavy pressure,slow speed,large gauge,middle twist,and small tension are presented in the roving process;and the middle speed,large twist factor,heavy pressure,large gauge,middle hardness rubber-covered roll,and small nip gauge are adopted in the spinning process,which can all increase the quality of blended yarns.

Abstract:Textile Research Journal, Ahead of Print. A novel method for producing cotton/polyester staple core-spun yarns was introduced in this study to fully exploit the advantages of composite staple yarns. A coaxial roller with different diameters was installed on the ring spinning machine to assist in the production of the staple core-spun yarn. In addition, given the challenge of accurately measuring the twist of the staple core-spun yarn using a traditional twist tester, image technology was employed to measure the twists in the core and sheath layers. Models were established to correlate the process twist (the twist set on the spinning machine) with twists in the core and sheath layers of the staple core-spun yarn. The effects of the core proportion and process twist on the yarn properties were studied and statistically examined using analysis of variance. The results indicated that the twists in the core and sheath layers were linear functions of the process twist. The core exposure ratio of the staple core-spun yarn increased with an increase in the core proportion and first decreased and then increased with an increase in the process twist. The tensile properties, yarn evenness, and hairiness of the staple core-spun yarn improved with an increasing core proportion. The analysis of variance results confirmed that the core proportion and process twist significantly influenced the tensile properties, yarn evenness, and hairiness of the staple core-spun yarn. Furthermore, there were statistically significant differences in the properties of the staple core-spun yarn and ring-spun yarn at the 95% confidence interval.

Abstract:Textile Research Journal, Ahead of Print. The spinning rotor is a key element for rotor spinning, but fibers will wear when they move in the spinning rotor. In this paper, a model of fiber and spinning rotor was established to investigate the wearing properties of fibers and rotor wall influenced by stripping velocities, Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio. The simulation results indicate that the wear degree of fibers gradually increases with increasing stripping velocity, Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio. During the fibers' movement in a rotor, there exists a stress concentration zone on processed fibers. The damage degree of the spinning rotor wall increases with stripping velocity and also varies depending on the differences in fiber properties. Taking the fibers from the stripping point as experimental samples, the surface wear of damaged fibers is observed by scanning electron microscopy, and the decrease in fiber strength with stripping velocity is measured. The experimental results show a good agreement with simulations. The research in this paper provides a preliminary guide for the selection of fiber raw materials and optimization of process parameters in rotor spinning, which in turn improves the physical properties of rotor yarn.

Abstract:Processing of rubber-covered roll forward motion draft in spinning frame was discussed.The processing characteristics,finish yarn quality,modification effect and draft rule were analysed in theory,resolving methods were put forward according to existing problems in practice.It is pointed out that yarn quality could be improved effectively by adopting rubber-covered roll forward motion draft especially pure cotton carding yarn quality.The modification cost is lower.

Abstract:Many natural fibers are lightweight and display remarkable strength and toughness. These properties originate from the fibers’ hierarchical structures, assembled from the molecular to macroscopic scale. The natural spinning systems that produce such fibers are highly energy efficient, inspiring researchers to mimic these processes to realize robust artificial spinning. Significant developments have been achieved in recent years toward the preparation of high-performance bio-based fibers. Beyond excellent mechanical properties, bio-based fibers can be functionalized with a series of new features, thus expanding their sophisticated applications in smart textiles, electronic sensors, and biomedical engineering. Here, recent progress in the construction of bio-based fibers is outlined. Various bioinspired spinning methods, strengthening strategies for mechanically strong fibers, and the diverse applications of these fibers are discussed. Moreover, challenges in reproducing the mechanical performance of natural systems and understanding their dynamic spinning process are presented. Finally, a perspective on the development of biological fibers is given.

Abstract:The spinning process principle of composite yarn was introduced.According to the rebuilding cotton spinning machine and based on the practice in the spinning process,spinning technological process of composite yarn is defined.Some experiments on the primary processing parameters of the composite spinning yarn were carried out,and the influences of spinning factors on composite yarn quality were analyzed by the spinning processes.The problems of end-breakage and unevenness etc. of composite yarn in the spinning process were resolved by reasonable spinning process configuration.The effective technical measures and process parameters were discussed.The results could be as a reference data for improving the quality of composite yarn and developing the new products further.

Abstract:Production processes of cocoa charcoal modified polyester/cotton/Coolplus blended compact yarn is discussed.By properly selected the blending of raw materials,an antistatic treatment was done on cocoa charcoal modified polyester and Coolplus.Processing parameters in various process were also optimized and proper technical measures were also adopted to gaurantee the successfully production of 9.8tex 40/40/20 cocoa charcoal modified polyester fiber/cotton/Coolplus blended compact spinning yarn.The formed yarn is of good strength,evenness and hairiness index.
