Abstract:An efficient procedure for the synthesis of 2-aminoisoindolin-1-ones via a palladium-catalyzed three-component reaction of 2-halobenzaldehydes, hydrazines and carbon monoxide is reported. This cyclocarbonylation process can be performed smoothly under 1 atmospheric pressure of carbon monoxide to afford 2-aminoisoindolin-1-ones in moderate to excellent yields.

Abstract:Palladium-catalyzed [4+2] annulation of aryl and alkenyl carboxamides with 1,3-dienes via C–H functionalization is developed using air as the terminal oxidant. The method demonstrates good functional group tolerance and high stereoselectivity, affording a series of 3,4-dihydroisoquinolones and 5,6-dihydropyridinones in yields of up to 99%.

Abstract:An efficient and straightforward procedure toward the synthesis of amides-substituted 2H-benzopyrans H-benzopyrans has been explored through palladium-catalyzed one-pot aminocarbonylation reaction. By using nitro compounds as attractive nitrogen sources, with Mo(CO)6 6 as both CO source and reductant, a variety of amides-containing 2H- H- benzopyrans were obtained in moderate to high yields with good functional group tolerance. This protocol has advantages including atom-economy, no manipulation of toxic CO gas, and broad substrate scope.

Abstract:A practical process for the synthesis of 2-unsubstituted indoles and azaindoles has been developed by the palladium-catalyzed direct annulation of electron-poor o-chloro/bromoanilines and o-chloroaminopyridines with aldehydes. Coupled with the previous results of Jia and Zhu, this allows rapid access to a variety of 2-unsubstituted indoles and azaindoles starting from simple and easily accessible precursors.
