Abstract:This paper deals with superminimal surfaces in complex space forms by using theFrenet framing. We formulate explicitly the length squares of the higher fundamental forms andthe higher curvatures for superminimal surfaces in terms of the metric of the surface and the Khlerangle of the immersion. Particularly, some curvature pinching theorems for minimal 2-spheres in acomplex projective space are given and a new characterization of the Veronese sequence is obtained.

Abstract:Many authors discussed the interpolation mechanism of fuzzy logic system applied in control. The input and output of fuzzy control system are always restrained in (fuzzy) numbers-associated with fuzzification and defuzzification procedure. In artificial intelligence area we need use common fuzzy sets to represent vague and fuzzy concept. In this paper, we propose a "local relation mapping" theory, which is a corresponding result of interpolation mechanism of fuzzy logical system without fuzzification and defuzzification. This local relation mapping property holds in Mamdani algorithm (Max-Min fuzzy reasoning model). We find that each CRI fuzzy reasoning method based on the multi-valued logic implication operator has an approximate Mamdani algorithm. The fuzzy relation matrix of CRI fuzzy inference method based on the multivalued logic implication operator has an enveloping surface of Mamdani algorithm. So most CRI fuzzy reasoning methods have local relation mapping property approximately

Abstract:We prove that for a compact Finsler manifold M with nonnegative weighted Ricci curvature,if its first closed(resp.Neumann)eigenvalue of Finsler-Laplacian attains the sharp lower bound,then M is isometric to a circle(resp.a segment).Moreover,a lower bound of the first eigenvalue of Finsler-Laplacian with Dirichlet boundary condition is also estimated.These generalize the corresponding results in recent literature.

Abstract:We consider the optimization problem $(P_{A})$ $\inf_{x\in X}\{f(x)+g(Ax)\}$ where $f$ and $g$ are proper convex functions defined on locally convex Hausdorff topological vector spaces $X$ and $Y$, respectively, and $A$ is a linear operator from $X$ to $Y$. By using the properties of the epigraph of the conjugated functions, some sufficient and necessary conditions for the strong Fenchel duality and the strong converse Fenchel duality of $(P_{A})$ are provided. Sufficient and necessary conditions for the stable Fenchel duality and for the total Fenchel duality are also derived.

Abstract:Motivated by some deep problems in optimization and control theory, convexity theory has been extended to the various infinite dimensional functional spaces. The separation theorems play key roles in developing convexity theory. In this paper, we focus on the convexity problem in the framework of fuzzy quasi-normed spaces. First, we give some separation results of convex sets, and show a characterization of a closed convex subset with the aid of the dual of a fuzzy quasi-normed space. Second, we introduce the concept of an extreme point and generalize the famous Krein–Milman theorem to a fuzzy quasi-normed space. The obtained results of this paper will play key roles in convex programming and optimization problems of fuzzy quasi-normed spaces.

Abstract:Recently M.M. Choban et al. introduced spaces with fragmentable open sets and such spaces are denoted by fos-spaces. In this paper the properties of fos-spaces are studied. Among other things we show that a space covered by a locally countable family of closed fos-subspaces is a fos-space. We also prove that every Čech complete fos-space contains a dense completely metrizable space, which improves a result by M.M. Choban et al. Further, it is proved that both continuous closed irreducible mappings and continuous finite-to-one open mappings preserve fos-spaces.

Abstract:The classical four vertex theorem describes a fundamental property of simple closed planar curves. It has been extended to space curves, namely a smooth, simple closed curve in R-3 has at least four points with vanishing torsion if it lies on a convex surface.
