Research Progress of Polymer/Attapulgite Nanocomposites

Abstract:Attapulgite (ATP) ,as a valuable naturally available one-dimensional (1D) nanomaterial ,has some excellent pro-perties ,such as non-toxicity ,good thermal stability ,large surface area .The thermal stability and mechanical properties of the poly-mer can be improved by the combination of the polymer and the attapulgite .In this paper ,the attapulgite modification method and the preparation of polymer/attapulgite nanocomposites are introduced ,the research progress of attapulgite used in plastic ,rubber , waste water treatment are summarized ,and the application prospect of polymer/attapulgite composites is proposed .
