Synthesis and application of reactive polybutadiene modifiers and their application in structural adhesives

Abstract:A series of reactive functionalized polybutadienes containing unsaturated double bond,which were prepared by stepwise reactions of HTPB with acid anhydride,glycidyl methacrylate and isocyanate in sequence and characterized,were added into the polyacrylate structural adhesive system to facilitate the adhesive performance.The eEffects of various factors including the type and contentthe dosage of acid anhydride and isocyanate in the synthetic process of the modifiers as well as the added amount of the modifiers on the adhesive performance were studied.The rResults illustrated that different substrates had different selectivity ofor the modifiers,and the chemical structure of the modifiers and the compatibility betweenof modifiers and in the structural adhesive played an important role forin the adhesive bonding performance.
