Abstract:The complete convergences for sums of ρ-\|mixing random fields with different distributions are investigated. A theorem which extends those for ρ\|mixing random fields and negatively associated sequences is obtained.

Abstract:In this paper, a notion of negative side ϱ-mixing (ϱ −-mixing) which can be regarded as asymptotic negative association is defined, and some Rosenthal type inequalities for ϱ −-mixing random fields are established. The complete convergence and almost sure summability on the convergence rates with respect to the strong law of large numbers are also discussed for ϱ −-mixing random fields. The results obtained extend those for negatively associated sequences and ϱ * random fields.

Abstract:For the sequence of ρ˜-mixing identically distributed random variables, we show two general strong laws of large numbers (SLLNs) in which the coefficient of sum and the weight are both general functions, and as a consequence we obtain the Marcinkiewicz SLLN. Abstract:In this paper, we investigate some convergence properties, such as complete convergence, complete moment convergence, complete f-moment convergence and strong law of large numbers, for partial sums of randomly weighted sums of ρ-mixing sequences by using the moment inequality, which extend and improve the corresponding ones in the literature. As applications, we obtain the complete consistency for the randomly weighted estimator in a nonparametric regression models and the estimators for the unknown parameters in the simple linear errors-in-variables regression models based on ρ-mixing errors.

Abstract:Abstract We give here an almost sure central limit theorem for self-normalized partial sums of a strictly stationary φ-mixing sequences which is in the domain of attraction of the normal law with mean zero and possibly infinite variance. Abstract:Let {Xn;n ≥ 1} be a sequence of independent random variables on a probability space (Ω,F,P) and $${S_n} = \sum\nolimits_{k = 1}^n {{X_k}} $$. It is well-known that the almost sure convergence, the convergence in probability and the convergence in distribution of Sn are equivalent. In this paper, we prove similar results for the independent random variables under the sub-linear expectations, and give a group of sufficient and necessary conditions for these convergence. For proving the results, the Levy and Kolmogorov maximal inequalities for independent random variables under the sub-linear expectation are established. As an application of the maximal inequalities, the sufficient and necessary conditions for the central limit theorem of independent and identically distributed random variables are also obtained.

Abstract:This note develops Rio's proof [C. R. Math. Acad. Sci. Paris, 1995] of the rate of convergence in the Marcinkiewicz--Zygmund strong law of large numbers to the case of sums of dependent random variables with regularly varying normalizing constants. It allows us to obtain a complete convergence result for dependent sequences under uniformly bounded moment conditions. This result is new even when the underlying random variables are independent. The main theorems are applied to three different dependence structures: (i) $m$-pairwise negatively dependent random variables, (ii) $m$-extended negatively dependent random variables, and (iii) $\varphi$-mixing sequences. To our best knowledge, the results for cases (i) and (ii) are the first results in the literature on complete convergence for sequences of $m$-pairwise negatively dependent random variables and $m$-extended negatively dependent random variables under the optimal moment conditions even when $m=1$. While the results for cases (i) and (iii) unify and improve many existing ones, the result for case (ii) complements the main result of Chen et al. [J. Appl. Probab., 2010]. Affirmative answers to open questions raised by Chen et al. [J. Math. Anal. Appl., 2014] and Wu and Rosalsky [Glas. Mat. Ser. III, 2015] are also given. An example illustrating the sharpness of the main result is presented.

Abstract:In some complex systems, the randomness and uncertainty phenomena may arise simultaneously, which inspires us to develop the uncertain random variable in chance space. Based on the chance theory, we propose the concept of complete convergence and investigate the relations among the existing common types of convergence including convergence almost surely, convergence in measure, convergence in distribution and convergence in mean. All of the relations are illustrated via the corresponding examples or counterexamples. Additionally, we give an equivalent condition and a sufficient condition of convergence completely for uncertain random variables and provide an example to explain the conditions.

Our results partially extend some known results and weaken their conditions.
